The final Dolphins need player according to Kiper's current Big Board, is Texas defensive end Alex Okafor. Kiper writes about his 24th ranked player:
On his best days, Okafor profiles as a potential upper-crust 4-3 defensive end on a good team. He's quick, bends, uses his hands effectively and can turn the corner. A three-year starter, he brings a lot of experience and should be considered a safe, high-floor pass-rushing option.

Also highlights one of our issues, 12th overall and Kiper has us taking the 24th best player.

Kiper lists 10 need players for the Dolphins. Okafor was at the bottom of them.

Exactly. The first player that Kiper listed was actually the 8th ranked player on his board, Mingo. I would say that highlights that it's not really the issue some want to make it out to be. The only real issue is that some want us to take a WR at that spot and this draft is weak when it comes to first round WRs. However, I think the second round has a number of excellent WR prospects. In fact, I think it has so many that one or two will have to fall to the third round.

In his first Mock Draft he has us taking Patterson at 12: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draf...701/2013-nfl-draft-mel-kiper-first-mock-draft

Cordarrelle Patterson
DeAndre Hopkins
Terrance Williams
Justin Hunter
Quinton Patton
Tavon Austin
Stedman Bailey
Keenan Allen
Da'Rick Rodgers
Robert Woods
also could be in the mix in round 2: Markus Wheaton and Ryan Swope
If we end up with any of the following I would be ecstatic:
Cordarrelle Patterson
DeAndre Hopkins
Terrance Williams
Justin Hunter
Quinton Patton
Tavon Austin
Stedman Bailey
Ideally, I would do everything in my power to resign Brian Hartline and then sign either Greg Jennings or Mike Wallace. Trade back in round one if a one of the top two CB prospects or one of the top DEs are not available at our pick then take DeAndre Hopkins/Cordarrelle Patterson/Terrance Williams with our first pick. Use a 2nd round pick on Zack Ertz, Tyler Eifert, or Jordan Reed then go BPA with our other two second round picks and two third round picks.
That would surround Tannehill with Mike Wallace/Greg Jennings, Hopkins/Patterson/Williams, Brian Hartline and Ertz, Eifert, or Reed. That is a ton of offensive fire power to pick up/add in one offseason. -
Without having looked at all of them extensively yet, here is around where I'd be comfortable with the value of each.
20-30) Cordarrelle Patterson
26-32) Keenan Allen
30-35) DeAndre Hopkins
35-45) Stedman Bailey
35-45) Terrance Williams
35-45) Tavon Austin (but not interested. Luxury pick for a team like us.)
45-55) Robert Woods
Justin Hunter - Not interested.
Quinton Patton - Haven't looked at him enough.
Da'Rick Rodgers - No thanks.
My ideal offseason at receiver would entail getting Jennings in Free Agency, Stedman Bailey in round two, and a good receiving TE in the 3rd or 4th like Fauria.UCF FINatic likes this.
