Favorite: Brad Nessler, Kevin Harlan, Thom Brennaman
Least: Bryant Gumbel.. It isn't even close. He makes a football game sound like a documentary about the history of dirt.

My least favorite is Bill Walton. Man that guy is so "self-important" I can't stand to listen to him.
My favorite is a local guy named Paul Rodgers that does Louisville basketball/football games. He's one of the best play by play radio guys in the country. -
Bryant Gumble is terrible. I hate everything about him really. His voice is nasally in a very irritating way, hes a terrible announcer and makes tons of mistakes, etc etc. Anyone else is an improvement.
TBH, I really enjoy Al Michaels. Though all-time I might have to go with Pat Summerall, was so sad when he retired. -
most: solly wilcox, love this guy. underrated.
least: paul mcguire...im following you down to college chump...ya still no damn good!
team: Jaws, Tirico, and Kornheiser...those guys are bright and with it. for an old vet, jaws is more than tolerable. -
I like Al Micheals, and have always loved the butt biter, whats his name.......the basketball guy...lol..I cant remember his name. Costas is good too.
I dont enjoy listening to Madden whatsoever, I hate hearing him talk about guys going up the A hole, at all.And Gumble is terrible. -
Don't have time to go through all of them, but my favorite happens to be the best play by play guy out there. Gary Thorne. I'm not a hockey fan by any means, but I would watch some when he announced for ESPN. He's outstanding at hockey, and every bit as good with baseball. I only wish he did football.

Honestly, for play-by-play, I don't think Mike Tirico is that bad. Jaws is excellent at breaking down plays, and he always sounds so excited about the game--something lacking in a lot of announcers today.
-
Having lived near Buffalo recently in my college years I got a good dose of Steve Tasker. Hated the player, enjoyed the analyst heh.
Still say the best ever was Summerall/Madden team. -

I miss Mike Patrick announcing for ESPN. He and Maguire were great on the old Sunday Night Football, though I hated Theismann. Pat Summeral is another one of my favorites. He and Madden invented "Turducken" and could harp on Jeff Zgonina's cankles for hours on end if they had to. Bryant Gumble is terrible.

Best in Football: Al Michaels
Worst in Football: Bryant Gumbel
Best in Baseball: Harry Kalas and Vin Scully
Worst in Baseball: Joe Buck -
Favorite Play-by-Play: Kevin Harlan. I think he is vastly underrated and always brings excitement to the game.
Favorite Color: Ron Jaworski. I learn something new every time I listen to Jaws.
Least Favorite Play-by-Play: Bryant Gumbal. He should stick to Real Sports, he doesn't fit in the booth.
Least Favorite Color: Tony Kornheiser. Not sure why he has a job. -
Fav/ Madden
Least fav/ Kornhieser *eew*:glare: -

I LOVE DICK VITALE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The NFL Network production value is the equivalent of Atari. Announcers are awful but Gus Johnson is by far the worst announcer in the NFL.
The MNF booth without Theismann is excellent. From a pure football mind Jaws is the best. Tirico is good and Kornheiser studies his stuff.
From just a guy who could talk like Madden and i'd still listen to him; i'd go with Joe Buck. McCarver for baseball does his best to bring him down but he's great.
Nobody watches hockey but Versus generally has a very good crew. -
Jaws is brilliant. He always brings something useful to the table when the calls the MNF games. He is one of the best color commentators in the league.
-
Are you kidding me? Aside from Jaws, these guys are absolutely HORRRRRRRIBLE (Yeah Bill Walton is also).....
Love Al Michaels...and actaully Love Boomer- No nonesense and good insight -

Bryant Gumbel - Worst PBP Announcer in NFL?
I think so. Anyone else had a chance to hear him on the NFL Network telecasts?
I've heard him twice - in the GB-Dallas game and then Sat. night in the Patriots-Giants.
He is drab; he doesn't get excited; he's boring; he talks over the officials; its as if it's all about him and no one else; he doesn't know the players names very well; he's completely ill-prepared and has to be the worst in the league.
You'd think they could get someone else better! It's the NFL!
I think Gumbel is a solid studio host. But, he's awful at this job. -
