It's Jason LaConfora....who is and always will be full of equal parts cow and horse excrement. His next accurate story will be his first one. The only thing he has ever scooped is his own litter box.
Suh didn't choke anyone. He pushed Mallet away.gilv13, Fame and eltos_lightfoot like this. -

Big mistake, keep Suh. He is making plays and no point of having that giant dead cap space when you can just keep one of the best DT’s in the league.
-
The latest penalty is driving this writers agenda. Not trade rumors, which would come hand and hand if this was actually true.
-
Dave Hyde confirmed their have been discussions about dumping Suh going back to the summer.

If we save any money, could be worth it. The offensive line is need of Jesus. Miami proved to themselves they can get cheaper run defensive help with Hayes. Miami needs to invest heavily on the line. Otherwise nothing will work

Cut one of our best players? No way, we would be idiots to do that unless there were significant cap savings, which it doesn't sound like. We definitely don't have a replacement for him, and cutting him would just open a massive hole to fill while we need to be focused on OL, LB and secondary (and maybe QB).
The guy is a fairly dirty player, but he is far from the only one in the league. Unless it makes sense with the money, keep keep keep. -
Do not get rid of one of our best players. I don't care how much he costs in cap at this point. This guy is one of the most consistent players on our team and he has actually matured a lot with us down here. I don't think him grabbing Mullet was bad at all. He was approached aggressively and he handled it.

Yeah as really think that if they get rid of that player, they will live to regret it. And really thought he did need to grow up.

Unless some other team is interested in carrying a 19 million DT we're stuck for the next couple of years. Suh didn't do anything to warrant a cut or trade though, he just signed the nice lucrative contract but that's on the FO, not him. So queue up the trade rumors on Tannenbaum, or whoever made that deal if they are still rattling around the front office.

I think 2019 is a better year, so he plays one more year. Everything is better, money wise. $22.2M dead money, $4M savings. In 2019, it almost 50/50. $13M dead money and $15m in savings. It is the first time, in 2018 there are some savings, but then again, we will pay $22M for nothing. Might as well wait one more year because makes no fiscal sense
-
it's amazing how the media functions. Everyone knew in 2018 there was finally some cut savings on his deal. No one mentioned this. However, Miami struggles and Suh on nationally TV implodes, now all of a sudden he is a cut candidate.

to pay anyone $22M to go, when he hasn't exactly been your issue on struggles is dumb. would there be a 2019 hit still?
-
I can't imagine he goes until the cost hit is something we can absorb. I wasn't a big fan of the Suh deal when we brought him in, not cause I didn't think he would be good, just because NO DT is worth the money we paid. For that same money we could have 2 very good players that are capable of impacting multiple parts of the field on every play.
He is essentially making QB money. For that type of money he needs to be filling up the stat sheet every game, and that's just not realistic for the DT position. -

I think what's missing here is that a dominant DT impacts your linebacker play immensely. Ask Zach about what Bowens and Gardner did for his career. We're getting by on aging or avg LBs bc Suh commands a double team virtually every down and keeps that extra Olineman out of Kiko's face. And next year a young Raekwon. Point is that his salary has impacts beyond just his own position. Shortsighted to get rid of him, imo.
