There are some pretty good WR out there that are going to be FA i think that we should pick him up if he doesnt ask for to much but here are some FA WR that we should look at
Randy Moss, UFA, New England Patriots
If the Pats dont sign him to be New Contract which he will likly get a new contract
Jabar Gaffney, UFA, New England Patriots
he is a pretty good WR moved up the Depth Chart from the 4th WR to the 2nd WR above welker and Stallworth
Bernard Berrian, UFA, Chicago Bears
i really like the guy i think he is a good WR
Bryant Johnson, UFA, Arizona Cardinals
im not to big on this guy he is a decent back up to boldon and Larry but i dont think he is a starter
D.J. Hackett UFA Seattle Seahawks
D.J. Hackett who i think is a really good WR i am really hoping we get this guy
and L.J. Smith, TE, UFA, Philadelphia Eagles
the TE for the Eagles he is a good TE witch we are lacking
There is also Dallas Clark TE for the Colts
he is a better Pass catching TE then a Blocking and if Dungy Retires the new coach might not Tag him and i would like to bring him in
There are alot of Good DL that are going to be FA that we might look at
Jared Allen, UFA, Kansas City Chiefs
if the Chiefs are dumb enough to let him go i think we should pick him up
Albert Haynesworth, UFA, Tennessee Titans
A Really Good DT IMO the Best in the NFL i would like to get him but i am affriad he will cost to much
Justin Smith, UFA, Cincinnati Bengals
He was kind of quite this year so his stock should have went down a little bit
Terrell Suggs, UFA, Baltimore Ravens
i doubt that we will get this guy but he is a good DE
Corey Williams, UFA, Green Bay Packers
Good DT wont cost to much he might be an intresting FA
I know we wont get half of these guys but there should be some people in there that Miami should get

Moss wont leave a SB team for a losing team wow worst post of a player ever. he dropped what 6 mill off his contrcat just to come to NE u think he'll do that for us? plz.
Berrian? not sure yet i'd like a big guy but i believe we still need 2 more WRs so i wuoldnt mind him and a hardy for example via draft.
Hackett seems nice and johnson as well at WR.
lewis had a bad year this year and i rather draft our OWN TE someone taht fits parcells mold of a TE far more then clark/lewis. look for the carlson guy i think it is from ND or Keller the guy from Purdue.
Allen...F - Tag, Haynes...F-Tag, J. Smith no tsure of to be hoenst with you, Suggs will go to Cards, resign or get tagged, Williams sure why not but i woudlnt mind Spogoa the guy from SF either. How old is Williams btw? -
Moss isnt coming here, not a chance in hell.
LJ Smith the TE defines injury prone, and Clark will be a Colt (franchised at least).
Jared Allen and Haynesworth likely arent going anywhere either. -
Suggs will be too..
Don't overlook Johnson. He'd be more than servicable as a starting WR for Miami. Hackett too. -
Dallas Clark dropped a pass in the crucial final drive of the game that he should've caught and would've kept the Colts hopes alive against San Diego. Can you say choker?
-
Berrian's a speed guy and I think we have that covered with Ginn. We need a big target to complement speed.
I think Bryant Johnson is very underrated. He filled in nicely when one of the big two went down. Has good size and ok speed. If he's cheap, a good temp guy.
Hackett I like. Good size, gets open, decent speed. It's just that he tends to get injured a lot. Likewise for LJ Smith.
I like Clark but you can be sure Manning will want to keep his favorite safety valve and end-zone target around.
Allen will likely be re-signed and I don't think Haynesworth is what we need. It's bad enough he causes problems among his teammates in practice but he causes problems for the team on the field. Skill-wise, he's what we need but that attitude isn't. Plus, some team will gamble on him and offer him a big contract. Smith will still warrant a hefty contract and Suggs especially. Corey Williams will likely re-sign or sign a big contract. -
He's got good hands, solid route running skills and a good mind for the game. He's trapped behind two Pro Bowl caliber WRs and will never see the field of day for more than what he got now, but I think he'd be the ideal and perfect compliment to Ginn at WR. Plus, he'll come moderately cheap (I could see a 5 or 6 year, 15-17 million contract getting it done).
I COULD see them signing Williams or the kid from San Francisco whose name I'm not even going to attempt LOL. -
Here are a list of players I like:
DBS
Marcus Trufant (In a perfect world we sign him, but we would have to mortgage our future to sign him and I don't agree with doing that)
Drayton Florence (this is a guy I would like to sign. I think we could get similar results at a cheaper price)
Randall Gay (not sure if he's starter material yet, but he would be the best nickelback this team ever had)
OTs
Alan Faneca (another player we would have to mortgage our future to get)
Max Starks
Jordan Gross (right tackle, sign him (at the right price) if we are sold on keeping Carey at LT)
Flozell Adams
Floyd Womack (guard)
Travelle Wharton (this guy intrigues me a lot I think we can get him and be fine at LT)
LBs
Karlos Dansby (If we part ways w/Porter, Dansby is the one to target)
Calvin Pace (If we plan on keeping Porter, Pace is the one to sign)
Terrell Suggs (DE/LB) (would be nice to have, see comments for Alan Faneca).
WRs
Andre' Davis (execellent return man me too, I personally would like to sign him, you can never have enough speed)
Bryant Johnson (Parcells likes big players, and he fits the mold. I wouldn't mind having him.)
DJ Hackett (another guy I fine intriguing)
Bernard Berrian (thin & injury prone, I'm a little weary about him....but see comments for Andre' Davis)
DTs
Isaac Sapoaga (I like this guy alot, and believe we can get him. Have him as our starting NT w/Solai as a backup is ideal)
Although we have a lot of money under the cap ($25.56 million w/48 players under contract as of Dec. 10, 2007) that still only ranks us at #13 in the league. Compare us with the other 12 teams ranked ahead of us, and the amount of people they have under contract, we are actually ranked in the top 10. Considering the state of our team, we probably won't be too attractive to free agents, Parcells calling the shots is our only selling point right now and although Parcells is well respected throughout the league, I"m not sure how much pull that will hold with free agents. With that being said, we have to face the fact that we will have to handsomely overpay in the free agent market because of the amount of cap space that other teams have and because of the state of our team. So brace yourselves, don't expect any big name signings this offseason, well maybe one. I think we will get one, and the rest will be decent second tier players. The draft is the best way to go in our first year with Parcells & Co.
Any thoughts? -

also include Ben Troupe
The rest we do draft! also teams may avoid Asante Samuel because he gambles a lot and in man to man coverage he may not be that good. -
With Zach THomas, Marty Booker, and Trent Green likely to get released we will be in much better cap space than reported in December. Trust me.
-
we need to focus on getting a fanchise qb and then work on evrything else...
-
Ah yes, I remember Parcells was kind of nonchalant about the incident compared to others. Kind of an odd reaction in my opinion. But I certainly hope he does understand Haynesworth's repeated cheap-shot issues. -
The most likely reciever we would get this offseason is probably Chad Johnson. I dont think Berrian is a solid 1 reciever and i think Chicago will keep him. At tight end we will most likely draft one because i think LJ smith might stay also. DT Albert Haynesworth is a very interesting prospect here. Dont be suprised if Miami goes at him hard.

LBs,CBs,RBs,and OL FA that we could look at
he are some other FAs
Free Agent Running Backs
Michael Turner, UFA, San Diego Chargers
he is a decent back up but if Ronnie goes down i dont think he can take the load
Marion Barber, RFA, Dallas Cowboys
He will most likly stay with dallas but he is a FA
Jamal Lewis, UFA, Cleveland Browns
He is getting up there in age but would be a good back up if Ronnie gets hurt
Julius Jones, UFA, Dallas Cowboys
i think we have a good shot at getting him with Parcells here
Justin Fargas UFA Oakland Raiders
he is most likly to stay in oakland
Free Agent OL
Ruben Brown, UFA, Chicago Bears
getting up there in age but would bring leadership to the team
Alan Faneca, UFA, Pittsburgh Steelers
he would also bring Leadership to the team if he was willing to come down to miami the would be a great Pick up
Flozell Adams, UFA, Dallas Cowboys
we have a shot at getting him with Bill and Ireland on the team and if we hire Tony i think we would get him
Max Starks, UFA, Pittsburgh Steelers
He is a pretty good OL that would also bring leadership
Free Agent LBs
Lance Briggs, UFA, Chicago Bears
i think he would be a good fit but to expensive
Boss Bailey, UFA, Detroit Lions
i think he is a really talented LB that we should pick up
Kawika Mitchell UFA New York Giants
if the giants are dumb enough to let him go he would be an intesting player
Free agent CB, S
Asante Samuel, UFA, New England Patriots
he is a great Coner but way to expensive
Drayton Florence, UFA, San Diego Chargers
good Coner i would mind picking him up
Randall Gay UFA New England Patriots
Good Coner and he wouldnt cost to much
Marcus Trufant, UFA, Seattle Seahawks
A great coner may be expensive but i think he would be worth it
Ken Hamlin, UFA, Dallas Cowboys
Good hitting Saftey may not be a great cover guy but he is a decent Cover and would help out our D alot
the guys that i bolded are the main people we should look at
Thoughts on who we should look at and possibly pick up -

Here's a few guys i'm interested in...
Travelle Wharton: Young solid left tackle. Carolina will probably resign him but theres a chance they let him go. I'm also all for signing Max Starks or Flozell Adams.
Karlos Dansby: The Cards may need to let him go with all of the other key players set to become free agents over this year and next. He's only 26, has great size and, puts up good numbers.
Gibril Wilson: Another young guy. Solid player with solid numbers and is an instant upgrade over our current safeties -
If I recall correctly, Julius Jones said Parcells made him run like a robot. He probably doesn't want to sign with a guy he doesn't get along with just to sit on the bench more than he has been with Dallas.
-
couple points
Julius Jones hates Parcells and talked so much trash towards him after he left. he would not be welcomed here
Justin Fargas might be let go since Mr. Davis would not pass up the chance to get Mr. McFadden
Max Starks would not bring leadership, only started 2 years and has not played at a high level either.
Marcus Trufant will almost certainly not leave Seattle. Grew up in the state, and went to Wazzou. He wants to stay and has said he'd gladly accept the franchise tag.
Lance Briggs is not a good fit for a Parcells defense -
Flozell Adams is the most penalized O-lineman in the league, and Brown just sucks. He (Adams) had something like 10 false starts this season or something like that. And people complain about Hadnot? -
and for Lance Briggs has he ever even played Parcells type of Defense -
-
-
we need alot of guys, so young and cheap with maybe one big pickup, guys like becht for TE, Reaves from dallas at CB, Julies Jones for RB depth, maybe spend money on the offesive line or linebacker
-
Guys we should target IMO:
CB Nnamdi Asomugha. I know some people may be tired of me hyping this guy up, but he was by FAR the best cover CB in the league. He knows Moss's game, has Moss's length and speed, and is not afraid to get into the opposing WRs head, yet stay humble. He would also be a perfect complement to W Allen and may come cheaper than expected since he only had 1 int this year. Some may see that as a bad thing, but teams rarely threw at him.
LB Karlos Dansby. Perfect fit for a 3-4 defense. He could start inside with Channing (if we let Zach go) and could move outside to blitz or drop back into coverage. Like someone said earlier, Zona may let him go to resign other players they may find more important. There's also a possiblity Alan Faneca goes there with that staff in place.
S Gibril Wilson. The guy is flying under the radar. He could be this year's Ken Hamlin in FA. Very good tackler and doesn't get burnt often if coverage. May come cheap as well, although the FA market for safeties isn't great. Him and Allen would shore up the S position for the next 6-7 years IMO.
I know it may sound unrealistic to sign these 3 guys, but it's highly possible to do so if we get rid of Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Keith Traylor, LJ Shelton, and Marty Booker. And I hate to make it sound like "get rid of them" like they're a burder or something, but that's 5 of our top 8 contracts gone, so it may be the better and smarter thing to do. (The only reason I didn't add Green to that list is because I don't know who else to sign at the QB position. I know I'm alone on this, but I wouldn't mind bringing Culpepper back since Bill loves big armed QBs. The whole staff is different, but I don't know if Culpepper would want to come back even if there are new guys in town.) -
In my ideal world I would like to add 3 players in particular to the offense,
Flozell Adams, Alan Fanaca and Chad Johnson I realize that FA is a tough deal and often times may not work out and the other critizisim of my idea is that Miamis not close to winning BUT at some point you need to bring credibility to you program.
I am sure Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland already have a rough blue print of what they want to do which most likely looks nothing like mine or any other poster here at Finheaven temp.
but it is fun to share our ideas :) -
i think clark, gaffney, or hackett would be great pickups for our offense
-
Aram, W Allen, lets say Flowers or Talib, then J allen and Wilson. sounds nice to me for the most part.
