Well if you can still win in spite of the flaws that need to be worked on then that's a positive. It took a few weeks for the eagles to start clicking last season and a half of a game this year.

 

That's the proper attitude. Never be satisfied with where you are. Amidst the celebration seems people forget how terrible we were in the first half.

 

shula's players would say after a win that you would have thought they lost the way Shula was acting. there is always room to improve somewhere.

 

Aside from the turnovers, which are certainly terrible in their own right...we weren't terrible. They were driving the ball consistently, every drive, never punted...those T/Os killed the drives.

Edit: But I certainly agree...that is most definitely the right attitude...constant improvement.

I love the fact Lazor wasn't satisfied and expected more points in the game.

All I know is I will take 33 points in every game left this year and that should be good enough to at least get a first round bye in the playoffs.

If we clean these things we could come out of this weekend with a large victory. I doubt we will beat them badly, if at all. We have to control the run game and while McCain and Jenkins are athletic, Trusnik is not. We must control the edges in this game more so than last week just due to the type of runners we will face. Manuel has to throw the ball more than 22 times if we are to win this game.

Making Manuel beat us himself is the key to winning. If they run the ball on us or are gifted more possessions via turnovers than us we are in trouble.

 

Really anxious to see how James holds up against Williams.

 

Denver with Payton Manning only put up 31 against a playoff team, we put up 33 against a team that made it to the AFC Championship team last year, plus they had a few extra studs playing against us:)

If they want to take advantage of the deep ball and Wallace beating the coverage, they need to change the QB. RT is not going to hit the deep ball. There is 0 evidence over tha last 2-3 eyars that he can do it.

I think RT will improve as he gains more confidence, but he will never be elite when it comes to deep passes.
