To help pass the offseason, here are some revamped Miami Dolphin logos. These are pretty simple, some inspired by European soccer, and others are clean images that can be found throughout the internet.
(I didn't design them, just scoured the net. I wish! Some folks are so talented.)
Better than the Whalers'.
Love this because it's so simple, albeit collegiate. The black eye is way too big though, right?

Wow, those were really great. Did you design all of those? Like many of them better than our current "cruise line" dolphin logo.

The one on the left looks really nice, modernized. Much better than Humpy the Whale we have now but I'll live.

I love that they went away from the cartoon style with our current logo. Second best was our original logo (would have been the best without the helmet on the fin).

Not gonna lie, the drop shadow effect is pretty professional looking. If ever there were a logo to fully capture the past 15 years of Dolphins football, it would be this one.

I just wish we kept the logo from the early eighties. I don't get why every sports logo has to be either sleek looking or if it's an animal have to looks either fierce or be scowling.
