The staff is so smart not to fluff these "Prima donna's" up. There not going to gush over these guys and treat them different. These guys are going to have to work hard and earn their spot, just like everybody else. ;);) Woo! :D:D The LB rotation this year is going to be quite interesting. I can't freakin' wait to see it. Game planning for our D is going to be a nightmare for opposing teams. Wooo! ;)
Sounds a lot like rehashed s---, but not bad. :)

Good to see Smith up and running. I don't care where he was taken because he was the best CB in our draft.

Ahhh for a while we did not know who the other player was. Now we know it is Roth.

Thanks Sceeto!
I am curious as to who said this;
Last year Paul P. made some comments about how he can't wait to see Roth in a couple years at OLB, that he really thought Mat would be good there. It would be sweet to have him raise the bar to the next level and dominate THIS year, I can't help but like the ol Matty Munsterstien when he's rumblin' and stumblin 4 yards deep slamming a running back .siciliansith, gafinfan, PhinsRock and 2 others like this. -

If this rookie class has the impact that the first class did, we're in for some great surprises. I still think Davis is the better pure CB but I also think he'll take longer to transition. They want/need Smith to transition quicker to get him out on those bigger WRs we will face from the AFCE... It certainly is looking like our secondary is suddenly a position of strength, pending the development of these two guys. Kind of like how our DL was suddenly a position of strength last season....

Sparano did not say Roth was the other of the two most improved. However, it is a decent assumption the way Sparano was praising how far along Roth has come and how he now "gets" the position, and is playing more naturally at SOLB. If Roth steps up, JT is back to his old awesome self, Porter is well Porter, and Cam Wake plays how we think he can. I feel almost giddy about our pass rush!

The way everyone is gushing over him including Pennington i suspect the other guy is Chad Henne. He was at the facility early, he went on scouting/workouts with the coaches, he's bulked up and is reading the defense better. Roth is a winner in my book, so if it is him cool ,he has the want to.

There's a mistake in the first sentence in this article... Sean Smith was a 2nd round draft pick, not a third round pick.

Three players drafted in Davis, White, Smith and you think "3rd round" for Smith except... he's 2b. -
