"I think it is important whether you are talking about the defensive line, the linebackers or the DBs that these guys are playing with confidence and going out there and we are giving them the opportunity to use their skills that they have and play aggressively," Anarumo said. "Every one of those guys up front has demonstrated in their career that they can be productive players and that is going to be our charge as coaches to get that out of them going forward.*
"We are going to look at all avenues when it comes to all of our players, especially with Suh, as great and dominant of a player as he has been. I think the guy goes out there and works hard every day and gives us his all. As we get into this bye week, as we talk about using him and everybody else, Cam Wake and those guys, we will look into every avenue to get the most out of these guys."*
One thing that will not change up front is the philosophy of using a one-gap technique, whereby defensive linemen are responsible for one side of the lineman across from them but not both. Anarumo made it a point Thursday to describe as incorrect reports the Dolphins had been using a two-gap scheme.*
The way Anarumo put it, he wants the Dolphins' defensive linemen to "create havoc in the backfield."*
