Nate Jones had three sacks this preseason, he has the knack for sneaking into the backfield and providing pressure, if sparano is not blowing smoke there is a good chance Jones is the guy he is talking about in that quotation.

I also wonder if this is the case how they'll use Davis (since I'm of the opinion that Smith will start opposite Allen).
I like the way Davis tackles. He drives hard right through the guy he's tackling.
On the other hand, it's kind of worrisome enough thinking about a rookie CB starting when we have some of the best WRs in the game to play against. Much less having a rookie coming in as 3rd CB. So it's probably a good strategy. -
I think we are going to run blitz alot this season and just blitz more in general, Jones had 3 sacks in the regular season last year as well, he just has that talent to do that, but heis Joey Thomas in coverage, not bad, not great.

That's my boy. His mom, Fran, is my little ones' dental hygienist up here in Newark. I need to have someone make me a sig of him. Rooting for him big time.

Nate Jones might be the first corner to have 10 sacks in a season.

I think all we've seen this preseason is plain vanilla stuff, in their 2nd year under Pasqualoni, I expect the defensive players to be better able to execute more complicated schemes, blitzes, and expect Pasqualoni to roll those out when needed in the regular season. As the article says, and I've said this many times in posts in here, we will likely pressure the passer far more early season just to give the rookies and newbies (Gibril) time to adapt and get used to each other and the NFL.
