simple as this.....
keep the morning pregame show.
or change to a post game show.....
the pros and cons of each
PREGAME
pros-optomistic, cheery, discuss the matchups, and break down the last weeks game, predictions etc
cons- early in the morning, once again, its kinda optomistic, and homerstic.
POSTGAME
pros- later in the evening (more listeners), can celebrate victories, talk about how awesome players did, give game balls, brag and get excited.
cons- if we lose, venting, over reactions, yelling, drunkeness, pissed off, arguments, fights, disagreements (all of which making pretty good damn radio  )
i leave it up to you, ill leave the poll open all week. tell me why or why not for your choice.
thanks everyone!
which one?
Poll closed Nov 14, 2009.

Why can't you do both....okay yeah I understand why you can't
If you can only do one I say pregame. Its much more relaxed and enjoyable.Frumundah Finnatic and SICK like this. -
for the record, i ask because i have been asked by a few people on here to do a post game show, so i wanted to get majority opinion on it

I said pregame bro. It is too easy to say if we did this after the game. I think the analysis before the game is what counts, and will have more substance to it for you and your listeners bro. Plus I think fans need a cool down period after a loss, and that wouldn't be fair to you to bare the brunt of that.:wink2:

dude post, seriously.
i know i'm never there, but i think the aspect of callers calling up and giving "game balls" or "instance balls" would be awesome.
for example I would totally give VD a few "instance" balls. the INT with one on one coverage of moss, and his ability to seriously knock guys the **** out.
game ball would probably go to our CBs actually.. we held them pretty well..

If you want game balls and stuff you can do that for the last week on the pregame though right? I mean I just see post game being a complete train wreck with how some of us get after a loss.

I say keep the pregame show. You know how people say this board is totally different after a win or a loss...do you really want your show to be that way?
If you weigh the options you're going to have happy fans in the morning pretty much always and you can have the same after a game or you can have people mad at the world spouting off god knows what. Plus I have a feeling there will be a quite a few more drunk folks after the games as well...which could also be a negative (or even a positive).
Also as far as listeners it goes both ways. Yes early morning is bad for listeners but a post game show after a tough loss could be bad as well because a lot of people won't even want to think about the Fins. Overall though if listeners are the main problem a post-game show would probably be best.
Overall I think keeping the pre-game show would be best. :up;SICK likes this. -
was just thinking post game might be hard to pin the time slots down

As you posted in another thread:
But I'm a step ahead. :wink2:SICK likes this. -
I could almost always make evening shows..

I'm guessing you might get a better turn out for a post game show...

How about trying a post game show and see how it goes?
If at any point in the future, it turns out to be a bad idea, just change back.SICK likes this. -

I'd rather you do both so if I can't make one I can hear the other but if I had to choose I'd rather you do a post game show. The giants do a pre and post game that features Carl banks on there....maybe do the same think with Daryl gardener...gives him a chance to lend insight and plug his charity a few times?
I know I am never on there because my connection sucks for live streaming but I would be more inclined to listen I think.SICK likes this. -
Do both.

Man who cares about the show being optimistic...im sure ur starting so get sick of the same show every week. Plus after a win or a loss u want to talk Doplhins footbal with somebody. Also i think it will make for much better rasio, win or lose.

haha good to see you on here ricky...

Might as well name it the drunk and sick show.
Mornings are better. -

1hr pregame to get the juices flowing...then 2 hr post game to recap with the listeners and accept the agony or relish in the victory.
I would predict the combo 1hr pre, and the 2 hr post to be more compelling radio than the single current pregame you have done.
