If we keep Dom Capers on board next season (which at the moment seems to be a big IF) then we will supposedly be looking to stick with the same hybrid defense that we are playing now. My biggest question looking at that is, how effective will we be in a 3-4 (not that we've been effective anyway) without big Keith Traylor manning the miffle? He needed to be persuaded to stay this season, no way in hell does he stick around for 2008. Is Soliai ready? If not, is there anybody in this draft who can come straight in and start at Nose for us?

there's some debate on this board whether or not a guy like Dorsey could play nose effectively. I think he could.
but there's gotta be some wait and see on this one, I would be stunned if Capers was still here. -
Oh, Paul Soliai...it makes you wonder how Cam and Mueller had a 2nd round draft grade on a guy who posted 3 tackles the whole year. Good riddance to those boneheads.

Solai, like mormino, just wasn't strong enough this year. Hopefully by next year they'll be closer.

i heard Mormino was a sure starter until he got hurt.
i think Vernon Gholston will eventually be a linebacker, but if u want to add a beefy DT...maybe Sedrick Ellis or Frank Okam? -
You will stay in a 3-4 that is one of the Major Reasons Parcells took the Job in MIA

They had a second round grade on Soliai based on his raw ability. The man is a physical freak, the biggest knock on him was that he was raw and he needs developing before he is ready to contribute. He was a fourth round pick, what do you want from him? We may see his understanding of the game grow to match his talent or we may not. You can hang the coaching staff because of that.
