Reminds me of my senior year of high school soccer (my school was too small for futbol Americano :pity:). Anyway, I wasn't a great player by any stretch but one game while playing left fullback I chipped a beautiful assist straight up the middle like a perfect chip shot in golf and our middle lineman took it in stride for an easy goal. My one assist. My one chance to gain some accolades in print. Stupid local paper gave it to our star center fullback who was also an all star baseball and basketball player. Oh well. I feel your pain Cameron!

 

Absolutely fantastic read! I love the personal side of players/coaches, and this is no different. Just to read about his crazy trip from being a security guard to HC of the Dolphins is inspiring. He's lucky to have a very supportive wife. She totally looks a lot younger than him, too.

I really loved this article. I got to see how Sparano started off up to where he is now. I learned about his mutilple-sided personality that shows off in certain situations. I have come to understand him better now and I appreciate him more than I had in the past. He has definitely, without a doubt, has gotten a deep respect from me. :yes:
