the darkness outsold bioshock on the ps3...The darkness is bioshocks ugly little cousin.

 

MGS4 outsold by Left 4 Dead... Craziness

 

I put a lot of the PS3 lack of success on terrible advertising. They don't put nearly enough of money into advertising their big name games.

 

I don't think I've ever seen a Left 4 Dead ad.... Seriously. That stat not only creeps me out, but it's scary.

Get it? The game is about Zombies!!! Ah never mind.

 

I saw some before and after the game came out. Microsoft does a much better job advertising their games.

Oh, and lol.

 

People love their zombie games.

The game rocks if played right.

 

I have seen print ads for sure, and I am pretty confident I have seen a tv commercial half a dozen times.

 

Really? You've never seen this one? It was on all the time on comedy central.

although the point is moot, cause i saw the MGS4 commercial a lot too.

 

I've not seen many (if any) LBP or Dead Space commercials. Bioshock I only saw commercials for after it had been out for PS3 for a while.

It's sad these games have sold what they have:
208K No More Heroes - Considering how many Wii's are out there and the quality/originality/tone of this title, it should be put in the top echelon of the wii's library.

189K Blue Dragon
107K Tales of Vesperia
96K Beautiful Katamari
80K Viva Pinata: Party Animals - All of these games are a lot of fun, if a bit unique (as in not mainstream titles), and very good in their own right. They should all be over 300K for sure.

109K Folklore
74K Valkyria Chronicles - These are two of the best games on PS3. Folklore in fact might have the most impressive sound I have heard of all the ps3 games I've played.

The problem with anime esque games like the Tales series is it really targets the Anime crowd must RPGers do not like the action aspect. Vesperia was by far the best Tales game to date.

 

There is no doubt that Sony has failed epically on advertising their games it's like they don't even care (the same about keeping exclusives). I am becoming more and more confident that Sony as a whole's financial problems is hurting them quite badly (ie they don't have the money to spend hence why we don't see more ads).

 

I thought No More Heros was a bad game. I'd rather play Red Steel.:up:

I was suprised to see how little Bioshock has sold. It was such a talked about game but it didn't mange to sell 1 million on the 360.

Bioshock did tremendously well for a new IP. The money in games is always made in sequels.

 

I meant as much as people talked about it and it was only able to sell 1 million. Then again I'm I'm sure that could be due to pre played copies.
