Isn't the real story the OC for 2014 season.
This is the person who is really going to control our destiny next year.
Who have we interviewed?
Lazor and McAdoo
Anyone know who else?

I think it's most certainly something that has a more immediate impact. A GM we're going to have no idea how good they are, or what they're likely to do until a while from now. The OC you can get a much better grasp of.
They've interviewed Kyle Shanahan and Gary Kubiak in addition to McAdoo and Lazor. -

I am just not sure what we are waiting for.......are we waiting until all the guys who are going to be hired for the other 7 or 8 teams and staff and then pick from what's left over
Just doesn't make any sense....should be some urgency here...no? -

Seriously Dude you need to chill out. There could be lots of good reasons why they have not hired anyone yet. Maybe they are looking at somebody that's still in the post season. Maybe they are in the middle of negotiations with somebody but not ready to announce anything yet. Nobody has signed anyone yet except Lovie

There is a lead candidate whose coming back for a 2nd interview.....find out in the Club ;p

$2 a month, less than 7 cents a day, is just too much money for some folks I guess. Just hold off on one six pack of soda or beer per month and they could afford it. Though it could be principle for some too. Just have a commitment to not pay for any Phins info no matter how cheap.djphinfan and NJFINSFAN1 like this. -
Am I supposed to believe that Sherm was off the reservation as OC? Or did he take the fall for following orders? If Sherm was doing his own thing why didn't Philbin step in, and will he have what it takes to control a guy like Kubiak or Shanahan, who, like Sherman, have more experience running a team than he does? And is Sherm was just following orders then what does that say about Philbin? Will he overhaul is system, stick to it, split the difference? Will he trust a guy he's not familiar with over a guy like McAdoo?
Hurts my brain to think about it. I just want to wake up tommorrow and read about how the decisions have been made already. -
Well I'm sure they want to wait for Kubiak, but Kubiak is at least going to try for the vacant hc jobs. I don't think he gets them, but I understand why he's not jumping at the first oc job that he sees.

There are much bigger issues that will have much more of an effect on the team next year.
1. What is the team going to do to address the offensive line? Will they target Branden Albert, whom they agreed to terms with on a contract but did not agree to compensation in the trade with Cincinnati? Will they look at Anthony Collins instead? Will they address this early and often in the draft and choose to build from within instead of spending big on the position in free agency?
2. What is the team going to do at the running back position? Will they target a free agent such as Rashad Jennings? Will they look to address this early in the draft?
3. Will they add a fullback for short yardage situations, lead blocking situations, or both?
4. Will they get a credible second tight end that can actually contribute to the team in both the passing game and as a blocker?
5. Will the team add a receiver that can make plays consistently from the slot position?
Until these questions are answered, it doesn't matter who the offensive coordinator is. The coordinator will only be as good as the players he is coaching. There is a lot of dead weight that will need to be trimmed from this offensive roster. -
The WR position is the least of my worries.
RB is a different story.Unlucky 13 and SICK like this. -

20 bucks a freakin year, for the hobby that we have here, the info that is in there, How cool the folks are around here, how we weed out the doucherats as a fam, watch each other's backs...
It's a shame that everyone who frequents here doesn't give a little, except for those who just can't afford it. -

I think the OL coach needed to go as well as the QB coach.
I also suspect Philbin contributed but basically handed the offensive reins to Sherman. A new OC will add some spark to the offense. -
Green Bay Packers QBs coach Ben McAdoo will interview for the Dolphins OC job today in Miami per Dan Graziano.
End of thread.
