October 2009 U.S. NPD Sales Chart

First of all I can see the $299 price point is the sweet spot for Sony and I'm shocked to see Uncharted 2 outselling Halo ODST. Other than that the 360 still dominates software sales.

I am surprised that Borderlands did so well

oh and i guess the wii isn't doomed.

I'm glad to see Uncharted 2 selling well. I wanted to buy it too I just haven't had the money yet. That has to be the first time a PS3 game topped the charts.

9.05 Million? You're telling me that the PlayStation 3 only sold 1.05 Million more than the GameCube?

I think you are missing how much cheaper the Cube was. For a while when the GC came out you could get 2 for the price of 1 PS3.

I'm saying plenty people are willing to buy something at a cheaper price even if it is not as of high a quality.

And I know they didn't compete head to head, but if you think the price didn't have an affect on how the GC or PS3 initially sold then I don't know what to say.
