Well today is the day we will know exactly when we play everyone. Usually games will get leaked and we can start piecing together our schedule before the official release. So this thread is for leaks, general discussion, predictions, etc. Whatever you want to talk about regarding the schedule.
I love this day!

Count me in as WANTING the Jets Week 2....you like that RR, you smell that aroma brother??......on Monday night...why not, no better way to start the new Giants Stadium, from the Jets perspective then smacking them down...It will be nice to get that road trip out of the way nice and early..

Commissioner Goodell said this morning on Mike and Mike that all Week 17 matchups this season will be divisional matchups.
It aint gonna be Buffalo my friends....BrazForPhins, dolfan7171, Shoes and 7 others like this. -
all divisional matchups. i hate that for us....cause we are in a division where all our opponents are north eastern teams.....so if we travel its a disadvantage to us. and no one else. hopefully we are @ home week 17

Actually, upon further evaluation, i almost think it has to be buffalo (im probably wrong.) But the whole point of scheduling a divisonal game in week 17 is to keep the teams from benching everyone and sitting out in week 17. If NEs playing Buffalo, they will do just that. So really, we have a 50-50 chance of it being buff. We're either playing Buff or NE.
Unless the league gives NE that cupcake game against Buff...which would fuel the "the NFL loves NE!" mentality people have.dolfan7171, DolfanJake and finyank13 like this. -
Just as a precursor, this is what we already know:
Home: Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
Away: Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikingsdolfan7171 and steveincolorado like this. -

A few things that leaked out overnight, they do not really involve us, but . . .
- The Falcons have been circulating and ad on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution website for game tickets with the tag line of 'Rise Up 9.12.10" therefore it can be assumed that the Falcons will open at home.
- A Toronto paper opined that November 7th would be the date for the Bills trip to Toronto this year. The Chicago Tribune let slip yesterday that the Bears were expected to play the Bills in Toronto, so look out for this. On a personal note, it makes sense to use the Bears as the game would be on FOX, who has yet to get a Toronto game.
- The same article mentioned that the Bears would be playing in Dallas on Thanksgiving.
I'm a schedule hound, and although I have a busy schedule at work this afternoon, I will do my best to keep up with leaks. Green Bay usually has some game leaks (which would be big because they will normally leak the first game, which I expect to be MNF against the Jets). Cincinnati and the California teams are also good leakers.dolfan7171 likes this. -

Rumors are swirling that the Cowboys will open at the Redskins. If this is true then it will likely be the week 1 SNF game.
There are several reasons that make me believe that this is false. First, the Giants are playing in the national slot at 4:15 on FOX that day. I don't think the NFL would schedule such an over flow of NFCE games nationally the first week . . . although if any division would have it happen, it would be the beloved NFCE.
This game in primetime would mean that of the four week 1 primetime games, three would potentially be inter-NFC games. The Saints will open, likely with the Saints while it is widely accepted that the Seahawks and Niners/Cardinals will be the back end of the MNF DH.dolfan7171 and SICK like this. -
Today is by far the second-most exciting day of the NFL that does not involve actual games. I love following the leaks!

Looks like we will open on MNF @ the Jets. I still don't buy it though. -

Ross deserves a swift kick to the dick for whining about the heat and so does everyone else who thinks its "too hot".

Goodell will be giving some schedule hints to the schedule during his NFL.com chat at 2 eastern.
Although I'm headed to work, trust me when I say that I will be around as much as I can until five central and then again after 5:30. Being six hours away means that leaks will be coming fast and furious soon!
Like I said before, keep your eye on Green Bay, Minnesota (fake schedule released through KFAN already this morning), Cincinnati, New England, and Oakland. In the past, these guys have leaked info early. -
Does everyone seem to forget our guys play in the same heat? They're a little more conditioned, but it's not like they're Florida Natives. We've got a really young team, I just don't think they're really THAT accustomed to Florida heat, that it gives us that much of a difference maker right now.

The heat may not be as big of an advantage as it once was, but I still think it's best not to give away what little advantage may exist. -
We opened up the season and closed it in 2008, week 1 in miami vs jets week 17 in ny. Maybe they're reversing it? I figured we'd get the Jets week 1[no Santonio Holmes!!!] and Bills week 17-If they give us the exciting week 1 game vs the Jets, they'll give the exciting week 17 game to the Patriots. It could go either way though.
It's also been 10 years[already!!] since the Monday Night Miracle which was at the Meadowlands. I think they'll be pushing that week 1 as well as the re-heated rivalry the past few seasons. -

My question is, why is it 2 hours long? What could they possibly do with a schedule release for two hours? Tell us how great the jets are going to be without even playing a game in 2010 yet?

It would be best to play Barfallo because if we need a win at the end of the year to get into the playoffs it would be the easiest way in.cobrajet likes this.
