Watching how Dalton was throwing to a big body Dalton makes you realize how bad life is for Parker in Miami with RT.

Doughty would make Cody Kessler look like Carson Wetz at this point. Lets not kid ourselves here.

This is probably the first time that I really soured on Tannehill. Last season I got close to souring on him in the beginning of the season, but Philbin got fired, he played better towards the end and I thought with a better coaching staff he would blossom.

This season I saw lots of progress the first two games and the last two games have just been below average. I wouldn't call him a bad QB, but he is what he is, an inconsistent QB who has really good games and bad ones.

He still has the rest of the season to figure it out but, IMO, if he has a few more games like this one, the good ones won't be enough to save him.

Because we techinically should be if Cleveland had a kicker. Although if Stills had caught a pass in Seattle, we'd still be 1-3. So... who knows.

Parker is far from the talent that AJ Green is though. However, I guess if we never take a chance throwing it to him, we never know either.

Talent doesn't mean they will or could be developed. So it's not necessary correct that we "ruined this kid"

Right. But, take a look at that list of names that were tasked with developing this talent, into a player. Can you honestly say any of them were qualified for that job? Can you honestly say any of them helped Ryan Tannehill develop that talent into an NFL QB, coming out of college mostly as a QB, converted to a WR, back to a QB? The answer is pretty easy. It's no. This franchise deprived itself of any chance to develop him, with terrible decisions in coaching. Just like the terrible decisions that have been made in building the roster with the FO. None of it has helped. We've possibly tried to this year with Gase, but its likely too much too late and who knows if he pans out to be a capable head coach. It's tough... of course, maybe its possible that Tannehill never would have developed under anybody, but we sure as hell didnt do ourselves any favors surrounding him with the cast we did. That's the only point I'm trying to make. Not trying to re-direct blame away from him, because he's clearly not doing enough himself to help himself. He should know he's got a terrible OL, he should know at some point in his career he's got to do something to make a play. He's not, he's standing still, and turning over the football. It all goes hand in hand though.

You know, when Tannehill has a good game and the Dolphins lose it's his fault. When Tannehill has a bad game and the Dolphins lose it's his fault. When the Dolphins win and Tannehill has a good game someone else gets the credit. The man can't win.

The biggest problem with RT is lack of structure. The biggest problem with the Dolphins is lack of structure. As far as RT is concerned, he's basically been a rookie each year in the league. He's had to learn 3 different systems, 2 of which were in spite of him, in less than 5 seasons. No QB in the history of the league, not named P. Manning, would have been able to excel in this environment.

    Consistancy in the coaching dept.
    OL
    DB's

Those three things are what Miami needs. In that order.

To be fair, currently, Ryan Tannehill's best season looks to under the guidance of those you seem most unqualified to procure his talent and potential.

I just think Ryan Tannehill simply may not have been good enough.

One of his biggest problems is standing still in the pocket and doing nothing. One of his biggest problems is failing to realize his OL is indeed terrible and that he needs to do something other than drop back and hope someone gets open. Move. Make a play. We saw Dalton doing it tonight, and he's less of an athlete than Tannehill is. He's just not playing his position good enough right now.

Of course thats part of it too. We didnt exactly help either though. That's the only point I'm trying to make. I'm not defending him in any way. He doesn't deserve that after his play recently. I'm just saying... if we'd made some better decisions surrounding the kid, given his physical skills we could have done so much better. It's not like the guys we surrounded him with have done anything with their careers after leaving here.

At the end of the day, it doesnt matter. His days are numbered here without a miracle.

Yes, he stands still. He's been conditioned to do that. If you watch him in college he wasnt like that. Gase, somehow, needs to reverse that. If he can, I don't know. If he does, however, RT will play for many more years.

It hasn't helped, but not sure he's salvageable at this point. I'd much rather be willing to get a guy they can groom. We are dangerously close to entering Jay Cutler territory.

Agreed. Anything less than something like an 8-4 record, a 95+ QB rating and a 2:1 TD to interception ratio I think won't be enough.

It's been 5 years. You aren't likely to fix it now. It's who he is, and who he's become as a player.

It was disgusting to see him lined up one on one with a CB 6" shorter than him all night and we didn't even try to capitalize on it.

The defense was out of position and lost every time they shifted the formation, the last quarter and a half the OL decided not to block. It's all around a bad football team, and it pains me to say that but it's never been so obvious to me.

He was pacing alone on the sideline the entire 2nd half. He won't be here after his contract is up. Can't say I blame him.

Ryan truly does not process things quickly. Dalton got rid of the ball so much faster and so much more accurate. Ryan does not anticipate well, even on the play to Stills I had time to tell me buddy "Stills is wide open" and then he finally threw the ball. Ryan is good at throwing to spots, but was always a step behind in releasing the ball.

He looked like a rookie out there today. Maybe it was just an unusual game for him and everyone...or maybe he just needs to go.

Ryan Tannehill was bad tonight. I am not defending him, but I will say that the OL play was as bad as I've ever seen it during his 4.25 years as our starting QB, and that is bad.

I'm OK with getting a new quarterback. I will support whoever they bring in to play QB. But please, let's make sure we make it possible for our new quarterback to be successful.

It kills me the people that say Tannehill is a good athelete. If he was he would step up in the pocket AT LEAST ONE ****ING TIME INSTEAD OF STANDING THERE LIKE AN IDIOT JUST WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO HIT HIM. The middle is OPEN. RUN IT. SCRAMBLE. JUST ONCE.

The man cant win...you got that right. He was mediocre with a talented team @ Texas A&M and he is below mediocre with little talent in Mia. Hopefully its the last year we waste money on bums like Tannehill and Pouncey

I'm just trying to figure out why they are running routes that take three or more seconds to develop when the QB is only getting two seconds to make a decision..

For any IDIOT that thinks the defense stinks,

The defense was the only reason why the Dolphins were semi in this game all night. As bad as Green torched them they held them to minimal points.

Tannehill is the problem with this team. I don't know how you can take the CONSTANT throws right into the defensive lines hands or the DELIBERATE holding on to the ball too long. It's enough.
