*Official Dolphins vs Raiders Game Day Thread*

I believe were + 3, not - 3. Anyway, this should be an exciting game. Curious to see if Henne is healthy enough to start and if he`s more motivated than usual. This might not sit well with some posters here but offensive play # 1 will be :

Wildcat formation, Brown gets the snap and hands off to Ricky who`s in motion. Ricky flips the ball to Henne, who was lined up wide. Henne hits Hartline on a slant for huge yardage.

Think this will keep the Raiders D guessing? First play out of the gate. I like it.

Chances are good he is not lining up anywhere but under center or in the shotgun.

Raiders CB Chris Johnson (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 12 game.
The second best Chris Johnson in the league has played nickel and backup to starter Nnamdi Asomugha. Michael Huff could see some time at cornerback in addition to Jeremy Ware.

Alright, now they are down to maybe trying to dropping a Safety in at Cb, now who will throw the ball against:

-annual all pro cb?
-3 guys trying to play cb across from him?

would rather of had Cambell starting, Ski can make plays, and extend plays, however his arm is weak, our corners on defense need to win this game.

If they ever learn to catch we could have an elite defense. Hopefully they've been working on it.

Although today was pretty rainy out here tomorrows forecast is for no rain. I'd also rather see Campbell in there over Gradkowski. Since Marshall is out hopefully we get to see Bess and Hartline step up.

Dude's accentuation of every last word is annoying as hell. It's like he feels his every sentence carries so much weight.

On how much trust he has in Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace:
"Yeah I have a lot of trust in them. I think we got a ton of work with them throughout the season and the preseason right now and they take a bunch of reps in practice, in other words good reps in practice. I have a lot of lot of confidence in them; I've seen them do some tremendous work against our defense and in our periods. I think they're both going to be productive. You know both these kids go into the game and when they've gone into games it hasn't been too big for them. Roberto has played well in the game and when called upon on the offensive side he's done a good job and Marlon the same. What we need to do is from their end they haven't seen all the looks, the press looks and some of the things that may come, may come to the forefront."

On the type of season Davone Bess is having:
"Well you know it's interesting I did a study over the last three years here just in the last couple days and I was kind of looking at our offensive numbers and our defensive numbers and all that, special teams over the last three years. Davone a year ago, he had a bunch of catches but he was averaging 8.8 yards a catch and right now he's got a bunch of catches and he's averaging somewhere around, I don't know nine something, somewhere in that range maybe even a little bit better than that. He's catching the ball obviously at a high rate and he's, he's averaging more yards per catch and I think a large portion of that is run after catch. I think he's playing with a lot more confidence right now than he did back then.

On Brian Hartline's play picking up in recent weeks:
"No, I don't think so. I think it's just this guy's, Brian Hartline is a really focused hard working kid. I think he's a, I'd call him a football head but he's one of those guys that can't get enough of it and I really think this kid from the first day he walked through the door here he's been able to catch the ball and run after catch. He really has and again looking at that three year deal Brian Hartline is the highest average run after, he has the highest average out of any of the receivers that we've had here in three years. That kind of production when you're getting it over a two year period for Brian is not a mistake. In other words this guy's had enough at bats right now and it's just something that he possesses. He likes to run with the football in his hand.

It has always been something of a mystery to me why Brian Hartline is not a kick returner as his skill set would dovetail nicely in that role, not that Nolan Carroll is doing a bad job, in fact Carroll's 25.5 ypa is higher than Ted Ginn's, but open field running would seem to me to be the key skill in handling kick offs.

Sparano sounds confident in the two Rook UDFA's Moore and Wallace, to bad lil beast Wallace has a nicked up knee as he could do a decent Marshall imitation, the good news is Marlon Moore is probably the Wr with the most raw speed and quickness he can take a drag route upfield effectively.

And Hopefully, this is the game where DBess turns his routes up the seam, that caught the Stealers completely off guard in 09 and could work well today.

You mean the 11th ranked Raider defense?

You mean the 3rd ranked defense against the pass?

They are ranked 25th against the run.

If we don't come out with a plan to play smash mouth running the ball, Henning has lost it.

Imho NJ, the Raiders "3rd ranked pass defense" is similar to our high ranking in pass defense in 07, teams simply don't pass the ball on them because they don't have to, when they are talking about Stanford Routt and Mike Huff trying to play Corner, and Ro McClain a rook MLB who is kinda slow, passing the ball is not the end of the world on these guys even if you let Nnamdi take away a qtr of the field.

The Raiders defense is on a par with us, they are pretty good. But you can run on them which will be a problem because Henning does not run the ball.

Thigpen will replace Henne before the end of the game, whatever the excuse
