Im diggin TNA Lately. I met Somoa Joe at an indie show like 6-7 years ago before he was nothing. Really nice guy he even hit us with cookie sheets on the taping.

I missed Raw last night. I watched it in FF on my tivo. I stopped to watch the ric flair/shawn michaels promo and the last match. Both looked good to me. I am surprised that Mayweather wasn't there in person considering this was the final Raw before their largest PPV of the year, in which Mayweather happens to be a big part of.

 

yeah, i was wondering the same, makes no sense not to have Mayweather there, to be hoenst i think it could of been better hyping up WM, im not excited about WM this year i was was in previous years. The only match i am really looking forward to is HBK vs Flair, the main events i dont really care about, maybe Taker-Edge, but thats cause the streak is on the line, and to be honest i was more worried taker streak would end last year than i am this year. Also, is Kane not on the card? man he needs a push! also i was looking forward to the MITB ladder mach but ever since Jeff is out of it not so much anymore.

 

Sting will always pop a crowd. I have been a devout Sting Mark since the early 90's. He has always given his all in the ring and it shows. I have always been curious to see what it would be like if he did business in the WWE, but then again, they would probably kill his character to no end.

 

i like TNA it reminds me of the old WCW which i liked a lot better than wwf/wwe

i like the actual wrestling, the moves and stuff

 

the nWo was the best story line EVERRRR in professional wrestling. nWo vs Sting was great. And of course you had the whole fake sting. Those were good times. I can't stand to watch wrestling now.

 

i watch it every so often if i do watch it, it is tna i cant stand the wwe

 

mayweather just "knocked out" the big show at wrestlemania... with brass knuckles... haha what a joke. not that im sure anyone was anticipating it to be entertaining... but it was a huge waste of time.

im not a wrestling fan at all... but i'll watch wrestlemania just because its usually entertaining. and its free for me ;)

 

So oddsmaker.com had it where u can place bets on WM this year. I took 125$ put it on taker, he wins i only get $50 i belive, i put 15 on the field for 24 man battle roayal, lost. I put $10 on the field for the Ladder match and won with CM punk, so i was up $50, i took that put it on Floyd Mayweather, got that to 75, so if taker wins my $150 turns to $275! :) GO TAKER! and WWE better not screw me over and have edge end his streak

 

Taker Wins!!! this is a weeks worth of pay for me from one of my jobs!! im so pumped!

austin was one of my faves, my little brother is into wrestling so i will watch it with him every so often

Pleasantly surprised by the event. The pricetag was steep at 60 bucks though. Ooof. I made the best of it, invited over five friends and split the cost.

I must say, the entertainment value of seeing Flair and JBL in HD was probably priceless. And the MitB match lived up to the hype again. I can't understand why they refuse to push Benjamin as anythig more than they do, but hopefully one day they will realize his talent.

Surprised at the Orton win, but I figured it was happening when that match was not last. When UT-Edge was last, I figured that UT was winning. It was still a pretty good back and forth though.

Overall, I give this a pretty decent thumbs up. I could havedone without the stupid bunny match and would have opted for a more traditional women's match. And the ECW title is such a joke, they should just get rid of it and shut down that wasted division. Seeing as how CM punk is probably moving on from there anyhow.

 

I really wished the Rock could of made it:sad: WM imo was great. Best Match was Flair vs HBK. Ladder match was great and i agree Benjamin needs a push, i dont care he has no mic skills, his matches are great. I was hoping to see him win. He deserves it. The ECW title match sucked but its nice to see Kane get a title. I just wish him getting an ecw title is not the last title he gets and hope he gets a major title before he leaves. Im also glad orton won. I did not want cena win and would of liked HHH to win but Orton winning is not that bad. Great PPV, and i must say WM has been solid for the past few years

 

WM seems to bring the best out f everyone. And I hate the argument of someone not having mic skills. That is what managers are for. I really think one of thr lost arts of wrestling is having a manager.

The WWE seemed to have it right with Armando being the mouthpiece for Umaga, but that just stopped after last year's WM for no apparent reason. Have someone come in and "scout" talent (maybe Ted Dibiase? Or now that he is retired...Flair?) and cheryr pick talented wrestlers who are limited on the mic.

Benjamin would be great as a guy down on his luck, only to be handpicked by a legend and start winning matches with assistance, but act like he did it all on his own. That is something you can ride all the way towards the top imo.

 

They have no idea the oppurtinity they had. One hour. Nothing but extreme matches. And plus they had a lot of wrestlers on the roster that could have fit in very well, like Rey Mysterio, the Hardy Boys, Edge, etc.

Instead, they turned it into Smackdown lite. They only have one title while all of the other brands have titles within different divisions. :pity:

I read a lot of reports and it sounds like WM was a disappointment minus the HBK/Flair & Edge/UT match. I blame a lot of it on the match length. I mean the Triple Threat match only went 15 minutes? A 10 second match with Kane? Why even bother? I also think the positioning of matches was bad too, once Orton won, everyone knew UT was winning. I think either the Flair or 3 way should have gone on last.

Anyway on to RAW, looks like Matt Hardy attacked Orton, crowd seemed to pop pretty loud for it. If the WWE was smart they'd finally give Matt Hardy Jeff's push as he's more talented and better with the mike than his brohter anyway. I'm sure Hardy will lose and be buried by the end of the night and once again kill Hardy's heat.

 

Did anyone else here that there was a serious fireworks malfunction at the end of the show that resulted in like 40 people being injured?

I read through the recaps, and it sounds like Flair/HBK was a classic, with Undertaker/Edge and Orton/Cena/HHH both being very good as well. That said, I'll rent the DVD to watch the matches - it's cheaper to wait a month for the DVD to come out than to pay $50 for it live.

 

They were a tag team like a year ago. They were fired for pulling an unscheduled wrestling move on a referee from what I read. Looks like they are back.
