for those that kept defending him as a "winning" coach and that you can't replace a winning coach.

I can understand your desire to bring this up if people have really rubbed you wrong on this issue, but it seems a little silly to bring up [now].
Not only could he easily become a "winning" coach again next week, but this is a "what have you done for me lately" league so his record the past two years should be far more worthwhile discussion than the fact that he's now just .500 as a coach.siciliansith likes this. -
For all you fans who still have doubts about Sparano how bought this at his press conference:
“It’s baffling to me,” Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said, via Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald. “It really is. I don’t have any answers for it. We’ve got to do a better job.”
Oh we got to do better.........now theres a new and exciting concept......
Prediction: If we lose to Cleveland I think our knucklehead owner makes Tony an offer he can't refuse.....god knows who Ross will upgrade with but anythings probably better.........Oh and Mr Ireland yes you come out from behind that door now go out the door and don't let it hit you on the way out...............so much for the Parcell era.............pumpdogs and DolfanJake like this. -
I am feeling a bit of vindication right now, for the unfair beating I have taken since earlier this year. I knew I was right, and I am being proven right. Others claim they look at games, replay them, break them down, and that they see this and that, and act all completely superior and dismissive of others opinions. In reality they know nothing more than I do, because if they did, they would be working in the NFL.pumpdogs likes this. -

Actually if you include his playoff loss he is under .500... Just saying...

As sad as I am......I don't know why I'm upset because I didn't really expect us to beat the Patriots and especially not the team we have NEVER beaten. Guess my wounds from the past few years weren't fully healed. I'm still not pro-Sparano at this point, despite knowing whats coming. A punch in the stomache still hurts even if you see it coming.

Sparano works hard is Human so he makes mistakes. But to trash him when theres no alternative at the moment is counter productive. At the end of the yr we have this discussion not now. To change coaches mid stream never works and it takes serious thought to decide to start the rebuild over again. As Henne is learning Sparano's learning we are a young team. It took Cowher how many years to get to the big dance? I understand the frustration Im a Sparano supporter but he's got issues the oline is one big one i dont get how its a weakness either but look at the body of work with open eyes jmo -

I wanted Sparano gone over the off season, but he is here now, and I'm willing to root for him until the offseason again.
Than I will look at the options we have.siciliansith likes this. -
Looks like we were barking up the right tree.....
It is refreshing to see people coming to a more realistic reality of the state of our team. Know the feeling of being dumped on by the gang and I guess after 4 years there is a certain familiar level of inconsistency thats just to powerful for many to continue to ignore.. with this new insight it will make this place 100% more interesting....Was really getting tired of all the excuses....DolfanJake likes this. -
But when it happens that I was right, I am going to put it back in the face of all of those that hated on me. The bullying and truly hateful things that were said about me, well its vindication time.jw3102 likes this. -

Whats puzzling to me is Parcells recommending Rex Ryan to the NYJ and then bringing in Sparano?

I don't know how much crap you took over the summer, and don't really care either. I know at the end of last season it was clear to me that I wanted to see a coaching change. It didnt happen, so I let it go. I assume many others here are of the same opinion. So, I don't think its your opinion about wanting to replace the coach and FO that rubbed people the wrong way, its the way you present it... as if your opinion is the only one that matters, and we're all idiots for trying to support the staff and players here even though we also may not feel its the best situation. It's the talking down to others for their opinions that may have rubbed people the wrong way, and lead them to do the same to you. Like I said, I didnt want the guy to keep his job either... after the decision was made to retain him though, it's done. It's over with. Nothing I or any of us here can do. No sense in complaining about it all offseason, just try and find some positives to it, that's part of being a fan I think, its the optimism that keeps us coming back, the chance that hey... next week is another Sunday. We could win the next 14 and go 14-2 (I know its unlikely), that's why they play the games. Just because your outlook is.... no! it's still tony! its still Jeff! it's all over! (rightfully so probably) doesn't mean others share that opinion. There's a difference in having an opinion and stating it, and shoving it down everyones throat, and then rubbing it in afterwards. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, we know that's the drum you've been beating for months, some people just like to have the games and the season to look forward to. Theyre entitled to that too. Thats why, in my opinion your posts may rub some the wrong way. But again, that's just an opinion. Personally, I like the banter. I know I've taken shots at some of your posts and attitudes, sometimes, but hey, it is what it is man, that's what this place is for.
Opinions are like *******s. Everyone has one... and it's usually full of ****!

I think Brandon said some things above that were important...I bet you didn't know I was going absolutely crazy for Harbaugh, once I knew we couldn't land him, I looked at our options and thought that Sparano should be retained..Once I came to terms with that, I as a fan am gonna try to create an environment that helps my team win, which to me is not to prejudge decisions until we know or see the facts play out..
I do believe Parcells is a piece of sh^%, I admitted to being wrong about that, and apoligized to all that I defended him against..His goals as an executive were absolutely pathetic and worthy of a good *** kickin in a dark alley.siciliansith likes this.
