First we have heard of this. Probably an attempt to pilfer a pick from us. Same as I felt about Bowe the other day...

That would suck, especially since he doesn't want to be there anymore.
-
My opinion is that it wouldn't make sense for them to do this.
Sounds foolish, but I'm not the GM for them. -
So Jennings is prepared to leave. -

I hear this from Gannon on Sirius NFL radio a few weeks ago, that Green Bay was strongly considering tagging Jennings, with the intent to keep him due to a lack of confidence in the depth of the WR position or something along those lines.

I really like wrs Williams, Hopkins, Bailey, and the tight ends available in the lower first round and second round. Throw is a very good receiving rb and you have an immmediate improvement. Why do I bring that up. Because I want to see Philbin get his wish to build this team through the draft. However, it is a generally good idea to put just the right touch of veteran leadership on the team on both sides of the ball.
Boik14 likes this. -

Makes some sense. Why let one of the three biggest F.A. WR's walk away for free? And if Bowe is franchised (with the intent to keep him) then Jenning's is more valuable. I'm not sure what kind of pick they could get (maybe a 4th from the right team?), but it's better than nothing.

It's lying season.

Was also report on NFL network from the combine. GB feel they cant afford to sign both Jennings and Finley, and cant lose them both, so they are looking to tag Jennings and letting Finley test the market.
