Didn't Parcells come when Quincy Carter was the QB . . . they had a pretty good season w/ him . . . maybe Bill has a niche for QB's like Lemon and Quincy . . . . I mean Lemon knows the offense . . . can't just get rid of him . . . especially when there is nobody right now to replace him

Ahh, Cleo "Bonehead" Lemon, he is a sort of symbol of Cam Cameron's tenure so far, just athletic enough to show a flash of possibility, but that is quickly snuffed out on the next series of downs...
People may forget that Cleo really hasn't played much, as in maybe 7 games as a starter..in total...we could do worse, we can do better just like Vanilla Yogurt....
To be honest, I would not mind Cleo Sticking around, but not for starter money. -
I just threw up.
No way Lemon is on the team next year. No way. -
Parcells is not in the business of destroying players confidence. Of course hes gonna say some nice things about the guy whose starting QB for the team he works for. It's just common sense.

Funny thing, noodle arm Pennington is averaging more yds per completion then Lemon is 6.7 to 5.7.....Cleo's rating is 69, Pennington is at 89 or so...
Lemon is just a back up, maybe with more playing time he can improve, the Bengals game is "gut check" time for Cleo, he either steps up and erases the memory of the pilon, or he plies his trade elsewhere..... -

We need to draft a QB early in next years draft and sign a solid veteran QB as well.
-
All I hear so far is a rumor folks. Sorry.

This is where we fans have to hope that either Mueller or Tuna and his staff, can find someone for us, I for one do not want to head into 2008 with Beck and ???? as our QB's. -
I wouldn't want Pennington. He has a noodle arm. We don't need any more lame duck Fiedler type passes.
-
-
I doubt he will be, his numbers aren't terrible, and he works pretty cheap for a QB in the NFL.
Lemon may be our best option for a back up, but we cannot overpay for a QB like him.
Man, even before 2008 starts, we are up against the same old "Curse of Marino"... -
i don't think i could take lemon for another season

Parcells is saying all the right things at the moment. He's not going to try and create controversy. Heck, his presence on this team alone is enough, for now. He wont shake things up until sometime early in the offseason.

I know I was just making a joke because it will be a long long off-season for us.
-
Quick question, it's 2:00 am on Christmas Eve, here we are obsessing about the Fins, how many folks think Cam or even some of his staff is up at this hour of the night reviewing game films of the Bengals?
And Lemon may be the least worst option...that is the state of the Qb in the Nfl at the moment, let's not forget that Joey Harrington and Culpepper both ended up starting for their new teams...and playing just as bad there, unless of course, they played us this season.. -

Lemon also is not very experienced, I really do think people need to keep that in mind, he has started maybe 8 games and he has all of the inconsistencies of a young QB. -
