Kind of surprising that they havent thrown Devlin out there to get some experience. I don't really buy the whole "ruin a QB" argument. Plenty of rookies come in and play on crappy teams and don't get ruined.
-
They're quantifying suckitude now too?

dolfan32323, unluckyluciano, baboo72 and 1 other person like this.

Well, if Dalton and Devlin are comparable to each other: Like in that Video. Then playing Devlin would mean we might actually win a few games.
Heck Dalton has amassed more TDs, 9 passing and 1 rushing, than our entire offense has so far this year (9).
Now that we are this far into the season and 0-7... please keep Devlin on the sideline. I am in favor of Loseman though. -
Playing Devlin would be throwing in the towl for Sparano.Devlin has no NFL experience whatsoever .The fans may want to see it but Sparano still wants to win.
They have seen him in practice and perhaps they feel he is not ready. -
It's not really a factor of seeing what someone can do. They can see what a player can do it in practice. Sometimes there's a good player who functionally plays better than he practices, but generally if a guy doesn't play well in practice he doesn't play well in general. -
You can get away with playing the young dude if the players know you're grooming him for the future. When you're dead coach walking, it'll only serve to demonstrate that you don't care anymore. -
-
Should play him to see if he is worth keeping for next year?
-
Sparano will lose his job regardless? It's truly worth a shot. I don't expect anything other than an average performance if that. It's still worth a shot though.
