They beat us the last time in week 1 and Newton's debut. Now the Pats are coming to Miami.
Will we send them back up to the cold north after lighting them up at Hard Rock?
Week 15 is here!

Oddsshark Preview:
"Opening Odds Analysis
With New England on extra rest and Miami battling a cluster of injuries on offense, early money moved the Patriots down below a field goal as of Monday. The UNDER also saw strong early support, dropping the total to 41.5 at most books at the time of writing.
New England News & Notes
Cam Newton will remain the Patriots’ starting quarterback despite being benched in the fourth quarter of last week’s 24-3 loss to the Rams. Newton threw for just 119 yards in that contest, was sacked a season-high four times and threw an interception deep in Rams territory that LA returned for a back-breaking touchdown.
The former MVP has been held to 119 passing yards or less in four of his last five games and has not thrown more than one TD pass in 15 straight games, the NFL’s longest streak in eight years.
At 6-7, New England now needs to win out and get some help in order to avoid missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008. The Patriots will have three extra days to prepare for this contest, however, after playing in the Thursday nighter last week.
Bill Belichick’s team has been a cash cow for years when playing with at least eight days’ rest, going 21-4 SU and 18-7 ATS in its last 25 in that situation.
Miami News & Notes
The Dolphins offense has been pretty conservative since a midseason switch to Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, but the rookie showed what he’s capable of on Sunday. Down 20 points to Kansas City in the second half, Miami was forced to open up the offense and Tagovailoa produced the first 300-yard passing performance of his career, threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another score.
Unfortunately for Tagovailoa, he may be without several of his top targets against the Patriots. Wide receiver DeVante Parker (leg) and tight end Mike Gesicki (shoulder) both left last week’s game with injuries, while wideout Jakeem Grant’s status is also uncertain due to a hamstring injury. Parker, Gesicki and Grant are the only Dolphins players with more than 288 receiving yards this season.
The Dolphins earned a backdoor cover for Miami +7 backers last week by kicking a field goal with 21 seconds left, trimming KC’s lead from nine to six points. Miami has now covered five straight games at home and eight of its last nine overall.
The Fish have also covered seven straight home games when hosting teams with a losing record and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games vs AFC East foes."

I'm amped up about this weekend. This game is a must win. Every game from here on out is a playoff game for us. I am all about making the postseason! It's great that we are developing young talent while still in the thick of things. One game at a time. We can definitely beat the Patriots. I feel like if you stop their run game, you stop them. The only time they have been able to beat anyone this year is when they have been able to run the ball on their opponents. I think we got this, but you never know.

Open slot in New York for the game to take the 1PM CBS slot...
But CBS has decided it would be better to fill it with 49ers/Cowboys.
Embarrassing job by CBS. -
They are chasing the ratings. -
I am personally expecting a blowout by Miami in this one. It's crazy that the Pats are somehow favored.

I think the team's run defense has improved a lot since they faced each other.KeyFin likes this. -

That's only one site of course (the one I use), but it's also the most common line right now (see VI consensus):

Makes sense it's not more given all our injuries. Anyway, blowout or not I definitely expect a win. No excuses! -
-
I sure hope we beat them this weekend.
-
Harris is out. That's one less RB to worry about.
-
I think we beat them to a tune of 28-14.

Belicheat has always been good at taking away the opposing teams greatest weapon. Now, with most of our skill players being injured, I wonder who his focus will be on. He will probably try to rattle and stifle Tua. He's also been very good against rookie QBs.

Excited to see the Tua to Bowden connection, I'm a big Bowden fan, I think he can be a really good slot WR.

Game day :butthead:

I cannot get the game here in Maryland. Instead it’s the Ravens vs Jaguars and there’s no bars open due to restrictions. Ugh.

I was just looking up current league rankings. How is I nfl.com has the Dolphins offensive ranking at 27, The Patriots at 25...the Dolphins defensive ranking at 15, the Patriots at 8 and the Dolphins still hold one of the best point differentials in the league?
Not to mention the Patriots are on the wrong side of 500 and the Dolphins are contending for the playoffs.
Guess this just goes to show that numbers and stats alone don’t mean squat!! -
Parker can't play through a slight hamstring strain?
-
Oof.. down Gesicki, Parker, Grant... Ouch. Tua's got no weapons to work with today. Hope we get some depth guys to step up.
-
UGH!!!!! I wish something would go our way when we don’t have so many injuries.
-
I’m really looking forward to this one, but then, I look forward to every Dolphins' game.
This isn’t the same team that lost to the patsies in week 1; we have seen the squad grow week by week, especially the Defence. That unit is a match for nearly any in the League and will give most offences a long afternoon.
It's a great shame that Parker, Grant and Gesicki are all out, but at least Ford is back, and as Ahmed is not listed, I assume he’s available, which is a great boost for the running game.
it's about time we finished above New England, and with the division already won by the jills, a fall from first to third would be hilarious.
COME ON DOLPHINS!!! -

Nice start there for the defense. Snuffed out the option, the WR screen after too. Nicely done.
Guess we'll get to see quite a bit of Callaway today I assume with Parker and Grant out. -
Great D!
-
Thats a terrible spot. Still looks short though. Not sure I'd have challenged that one.

I’m pleased to see Ahmed back.

Nice crisp on target passes from Tua to start with the no-namers. Good to see!
