    He was not the Pats #2 pick. Not by a long shot. Chung, Brace, and Butler all were drafted before McKenzie (and maybe even others).

    That being said, it sucks that he is down for a year before even signing his 1st NFL contract.

    Felt that he was underrated coming out. I like him quite a bit and had him going to Seattle mid-round if they hadn't taken Curry in the first round. Its good to see the Pats be down a man but its sad for him.

    He was the second of two third round picks.

    I do not like to see this though, the Pats drafts tend to be trainwrecks, not even high picks are assured of a roster spot, so this could really set him back when he is just starting his pro career.

    wow too bad for McKenzie. I thought this guy was going surprise some people. Tough break and at the worst possible time before signing a contract. First injury since 2004. Really bad luck.

    Agree, I hate to see these kind of injuries. Best of luck to him recovering. What an awful way to start one of the most exciting times of his life
