How much does Pennington play in the pre-season? Maybe a couple series each of the 4 games? Or maybe just a couple series for the last 2 games?

I would be happy with a half, let him play a half in game 3 and call it done.
Penny has had two seasons ruined with preseason injuries, once he broke his wrist, the other he tore ligaments in his ankle.
Part of the myth of penny being injury prone came from those two injuries.gafinfan and Fin Fan In Cali like this. -
But you are right about his broken left wrist in the 2003 Preseason game against the Giants.
Anyway's, here is what Chad usually did in New York:
Game 1: 1 or 2 drives
Game 2: 3 drives
Game 3: 1st half + 2 drives
Game 4: Didn't playPhinsRock, cnc66, TheAnswer385 and 2 others like this. -
How it is a myth when the guy has been hurt 4 times in his NFL career since coming off the bench Week 5 in 2002?
2003 - Broken wrist, 6 games
2004 - Torn Rotator Cuff, 3 games
2005 - Torn Rotator Cuff, 13 games
2007 - Torn Ankle Ligaments, 1 game
He also hurt his shoulder in 2001 in a friendly throwing competition against Testaverde in Camp.
I love Chad, but it is no myth. He is injury prone. -
Since 07...what injuries? -
-
Wasn't fully recovered? Are you joking me? Do you truly believe that crap that the media spews out? He was recovered enough to play. Was his arm strength 100%? No, and guess what? It never will be what it once was in 2002. An injury is an injury.
Since 07? Wow. He played one year without an injury. Amazing. He did it in 2002 and 2006 as well, although in 2002 he only had 12 starts. You make it sound like 2007 was 5 years ago when it was one.
P.S. Everytime I see a Miami fan trying to make the same lame *** excuses that Jet fans used to make, MYSELF INCLUDED, I always chuckle for a good 2, 3 minutes. This is fun. -
Lets see what else he broke.......:shifty:
How about the hearts of all the Jets fans when he signed with the Dolphins:tongue2:PhinsRock, vt_dolfan, gafinfan and 1 other person like this. -

Well, he's the one laughing now, that's for sure. At least for now. We'll see what 2009 and beyond brings.steveincolorado likes this. -

It was a risk worth taking and Lord Chadwick wouldn't have sniffed 9 games with us last season. He was done in New York. He needed a change to have a chance at being successful again and Miami is his change. -
-
Which of course ignores the fact his shoulder was not healed, and he played anyway, which of course he receives no credit from Jets fans for doing.
>insert comment about liquid at bottom of dumpster< here.
Nice, when Penny plays 16 games, his team makes the playoffs, Sanchez has only played in 16 games...in college...

Last I checked the Jets havn't won a Super Bowl in 40 years. Miami has not won one in what? 36 years? So basically both franchises havn't won a Super Bowl in DECADES
Who ****ing cares that the Jets havn't been there in 40 years? You don't see me saying "Oh well Miami hasn't won in 36 years or been there in 25 years", do you? No, because it doesn't mean **** because its been so god damn long since either team has been there, it is irrelevant.
And yes, in the 3 seasons Chad Pennington did not get injured, he led the Jets and Dolphins to the postseason. And twice he had horrible Wild Card game performances and the other time he waited until the Divisional Round to **** the bed.
Happy? -
Please keep smack out of this thread. Thanks.:wink2:

I'm happy he's having success. I just wish it wouldn't amount to as many wins. :lol:Fin Fan In Cali likes this. -

Whatever it is the Jets Franchise has been doing, it hasn't been working.
BTW, as odd as it sounds, imho the Jets will regret cutting Mangini lose, he was alot of things but he did win games for a franchise that needed consistency (imho).
I just find it odd that Jets fans are so counter driven and never seem to ask themselves "why isn't this working"?

God dammit padre. Just when I'm about to hate you you make me love you again.
****!
P.S. You're wrong about Mangini. I am so glad he is gone. He made Herman Edwards look like Don Shula.Fin Fan In Cali and padre31 like this. -

When we went 1-15, the Jets had the #6 pick, and two of those wins came against us....
