A good analysis from Florio on this situation, in the Jamal Brown Trade thread I was chatting with Alen about the thinking that has to go into the whole Fat Albert situation, and as Florio shows, there is much more to it than "he can play the 3 technique" (no offense meant to Alen).
And notice, Florio tosses McNabb's time in Philly with TO, but never delves into whether or not Haynesworth can actually help the 2010 Redskins Defense? Which at the end of the day is "the" decision imho.
BTW, Haynesworth is something of a hero for me, he shares my disdain for the 3-4..:D

Imho that is a good illustration between a Scout and what a GM and Head Coach have to weigh. -

He already has 21 million in his pocket, and that does not include his 2009 upfront bonus, if manages to be released, he can sign a 1 yr deal, reprove himself, then hit another large payday.
Joey Porter showed how that works, and Porter isn't half the player Haynesworth is from a talent perspective.
And let me add that the Redskins know this, that (also imho) is why they gave him 21 million in April, if they wind up cutting him this year there won't be any Cap Problems paying down his bonus in future years, Shanny and Allen were more or less protecting the Franchise's future no matter what happens with Fat Albert. -
Needs to grow a $100 million sack.

The guy is a beast when he acually plays if he were to give 100% every game he would easly be a HOFer IMO

The NFLPA needs to step in and make him abide to his contract, IMO. Or pay back the money and hit the road.

Since I have no Idea how his contract reads I can only guess but surely there has to be some way the Redskins can get some of their money back and then cut him at the last possible moment to curtail any future problems, thus saving some of this years salery in that process.
