Damn! Salivating at the mouth right now.
The Dolphins are in no position to guarantee offensive fireworks, not when they don’t know who their quarterback will be. But expect a more aggressive, fast-paced, creative offense than what Dolfans are accustomed.
New coach Joe Philbin said Friday the team will “absolutely” make significant use of the no-huddle offense, will exploit matchup advantages and will use multiple formations to keep defenses guessing.
“We want to create mismatches… with our formations, our motion, our shifting,” he said. “We may line up with no backs in the backfield.

Maybe use a hard snap count for once?! Holy **** I am excited!!

Regarding the No Huddle offense it takes a lot of discipline and reps to pull that off.It may not be effective at first.Aquafin, dolfan7171, Boik14 and 1 other person like this. -
Marino used his quick release as a means to entice the defensive line. They knew if they didn't get to him quick enough that ball would be out of there like a rocket.
Your right Bob Griese was a master with his cadence and the hard count. I've wondered for a long time why we didn't use the no huddle and the hurry up offense more often? -
This will be great to see in action

I won't lie, the thought of opposing defenses crying because of the no huddle in the Miami weather, gets me harder than a skillet handle. There I said it.

Great read, that's what I like to hear. It's about time, we just need the right trigger man. Philbin said the crystal ball quote, starting to sound like Tony, haha.

In the article link from the OP, there's an hour long video off to the left. Its Coach Joe, Ireland and Mike Dee sitting down with the Herald.
There's some cliche stuff, but there's also some good info in there.
More importantly though one the Herald staff brought up that this kind of sit down has never happened. This kind of thing is going to go a looooooooooooooooong way to getting the media behiond the team, after the way it was with Saban & Parcells.
P.S. DJ, go to around the 45 min mark. Dee brings up how the stadium's lower bowl is the farthest from the field of any stadium and how that desperately needs to be fixed.djphinfan likes this. -
A little off topic but i just listened to a Philbin interview. Dude is crazy smart!!! He's definitely in the cerebral mold of Walsh. He's completely opposite of Morano who reminds me of dumb grease monkey trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole.

For those who recall, last yr Ross mentioned the same thing, I'd say it is one of his pet projects that he wants to see his team implement, downside is by moving the games from 1 pm, he has reduced the real home field effectiveness of that offense imo.

Long shot for Henne but he was better in no huddle.
We should have used that more often. -

no way the dolphins using no huddle? soon youre going to tell me that their is a thing called a forward pass and that these new fangled touchdowns are better than field goals
