I wouldn't show anything in the preseason with this offense, don't give me anything Sherman.?just continue to evaluate, just try to win fundamental football pays.

 

At a certain point you need to evaluate the offensive scheme, plays and effectiveness of execution. We can't go into game one totally blind about the efficacy of the plays we'll actually use to compete.

Preparation outweighs surprise in this case.

I would hold back plays that SPECIFICALLY are designed to attack weaknesses of a team like HOuston. And I'd hold back any extraodrinary, odd plays most teams would not expect.

That probably means you can use 80% of the playbook out there in this game. Well, at least 80% of what these kids have managed to learn so far.

 

Seeing how the defense performs is the biggest thing.

Martin is the biggest thing to watch on offense.

No matter what happens at WR, we aren;t going into the year with great wideouts.

 

if Martin struggles early in this game and Tannehill's getting beat up or running for his life its time to bench his ***, Tannehill's safety is too important to this team to allow Martin to continue to stink up the field while HOPING he's getting better at the rate we need him to.

 

yeah I think you have to watch him closely in this game, you don't want his game to get into RTs head.

 

I'd be surprised if Martin were capable of duplicating an effort as bad as last weeks.

That takes a special talent.

 

You measure heart by when a guy knows he's going up against somebody better than him, and instead of being defeated by it, it makes him play better.

Atlanta is a great test for us, I'm hoping the bring pressure to see how Thill and the OL deal with it.

 

The 3rd game of the preseason skid is the game that will closely come to resembling a regular season game, it's when coaches will play their starters the longest trying to get them ready for the season, after this game the last preseason game will be mostly rookies and scrubs. I think that's why Philbin considers this an important game.
