Taco might need a little hot sauce to spice things up and get it going, but at this rate, why not a flyer on him and see if he is a better fit in our system. I think I remember some around here who wanted us to take him. Maybe he will work out.

I'm rooting for the former Wolverine. Let's go, kid.

So Taco is let go and labeled a bust for only having 4 sacks in two years. Harris only has 3 in that time and the jury is still out for some here on him being a bust..Ok

Straight out of the Patriots play book too. Snatch up the guy just let go by the team you are about to face! Pump that info. And hope for the revenge game.

I think it be wise to use him differently than have him with his hands on the grass.. perhaps he can get better pressure as an OLB in blitz packages.. but so far he hasn’t shown he has the strength or speed to take on a linemen 1 on 1.

Weren’t the Cowboys trying to trade Taco for Minkah? Now Miami got him and a first round pick - not too shabby on Grier’s part, imo.

What about Dion Jordan? -

He was a bust before we gave up on him. -

I think the writing was on the wall after his first season. Unless I remember it differently. -
A more interesting question would be "What about Devante Parker?"
He is still a Miami Dolphin, however, Miami did not pick up his 5th-year option.Irishman likes this. -

Harris, Taco, and Nkemdiche are probably striking laughter in our opponents.
One man's trash is another man's trash.
Dallas has a top flight defensive staff, and this dude more or less did nothing. This screams that it is a lack of talent - not coaching. -

Hes been injury prone, but I've seen flashes of what top receivers do from him.
I'm not saying he will be good, but I'd like to see if he can stay healthy and make some plays this year. He might end up a really good #2 guy with his size, speed and ability to make some nice catches. -

Sometimes players need that dose of reality. Getting sent to another team might be what the guy needs to make the next step. I'm not personally a fan of the guy, but it could be interesting to see if we can be on the receiving end of the equation for once.

A much better strategy would be to get the best football players on the team that you can, then adjust the scheme to fit their strengths. Problem we have had for years is these coaches want to impose their schemes no matter what and make the players fit their schemes instead of the other way around. A good coach will recognize his players strengths and adjust the scheme accordingly.Last edited: Sep 20, 2019Puka-head likes this.
