The Broncos reportedly are wanting a 2nd round pick for Kyle Orton:

We don't have a 2nd rounder in 2011 (at this time), but why not give Denver our 2nd round pick in 2012 for Orton. This would give us a little more flexibility in the 2011 draft. If the QB we want in 2011 is still on the board we could draft him and have him and Henne backup Orton. I am hoping we can draft a RB like Mark Ingram, or take a defensive player like Von Miller in Round One.

The nfl has declared that no player for draft picks trades can happen until the CBA is worked out and that is supposedly going to happen by...September.
Which means only 2012 draft picks can be traded for players in 2011. -
The only way I want to mortgage future picks for a QB is to move up and grab a rookie in this year's draft. I like Orton, but a 2nd rounder is too much to give up for a temporary solution.

To add, it is completely foolish to use a #1 pick on a RB. Especially with no solid solution at QB. It's not a luxury we can afford. It is a changing league, and the value of RBs drops every year. Even Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson can't help their teams to victory without good QB play.

This all sounds too familiar. Lets give up another 2nd round pick for a QB thats not a proven winner.
