what would it take to get him in Miami everyone is talking about trading for Brandon Marshall and Anquan Boldin but what about Garcon he is a up and coming WR he has the skills and could be a great target for Chad Henne i would love to see him in Miami next year but what would it take to get him in Miami he is only 23 years old and he is from Florida he is 6'0 210 pounds

The last thing this team needs is another #2 WR.

I don't trust a quarterback that's played for Peyton Manning as a #2 WR. Chances are he won't nearly be as good outside as a #1.

No, he is not. He had a great game today, he has a very good number 1 to take the pressure off him.
And if Gonzales didn't get hurt you would never have heard of him.
The guy is a good number 2 or 3 wr. He is not a number 1.FinSane likes this. -

to those of you that are saying the Garcon = Bess... I would have to disagree, Garcon is a much more physcial player then Bess is.
I don't know that Garcon is ever going to be a #1 but IMO the guy is going to be a very good WR in the NFL. The guy has great hands... and I mean great. -
Without Reggie Wayne this thread doesn't get started because Garcon is blanketed by Revis today.

put Ginn in a colts uniform and the man would avg. 100 yards a game no sweat.
There offense is a well oiled machine that speed wrs excel in. In fact, if Ginn isn't a dolphin next year, i am positive he will be a colt or an eagle.Fin-Omenal likes this. -

I think this whole thread isn't very well thought out. What team trades a player after their second season? Especially when it's a successful sophomore season. It would make absolutely no sense.
-
I have no interest in Brandon Marshall. The guy is one step away from a long suspension. No thanks.
-
But really what do you guys look for in a number 1 WR he runs good routes has great hands has good speed and get sepration from the DB not including revis because no one gets sepration against him. And yes I know that Payton manning is there qb but he doesn't have the prettiest ball a lot of them wobble on him and are hard to catch and Payton isn't the one catching the ball I think he is underrated because of Manning IMO he is 10 times better then bess Garcon can accualy go down field and out run defenders bess is just a postion guy

Garcon is the heir apparent to Wayne.......he won't be going anywhere.
He's not in any way similar to Bess and on this team he'd easily be the number one WR. -

Guys looked really good in the games I've seen him play. Granted he has one of the greatest ever throwing to him but I do think he's at the very least a legit #2. I don't see us even trying to get a deal done for him but if we could get him I'd love to have him. He would upgrade our WR corps.
-
He just looks really good because Peyton makes all his wideouts look good. I don't know if he would have the same results playing here or anywhere else. But give him props he has taken advantage of that opportunity with Gonzales getting injured.
But Henne does need a big targer wideout. It would help a lot of things on our offense. Don't think Garcon is the answer however. -

EDIT: Putting it another way, the difference is that once he catches the ball, Garcon is like a RB where Bess is still a WR when he catches the ball....just not enough power in Bess... -

I cant wait until after the Superbowl
*insert player's name here* Kicked *** why dont we sign/trade for him? -

That's one reason the Colts are good season after season is because Polian knows how to find talent. Both those guys came up big yesterday, all season really. They lost Gonzalez for the season, and their passing attack didn't skip a beat. A lot of that is Peyton, I know. He makes average WR's look very good. But, he can't run the routes and make the catches too. You gotta tip your cap to both those kids...they made a lot of big plays in a very big game yesterday. -

I like him but he doesn't possess that playmaking ability, he isn't the fastest guy on the field, although a very tough guy, I don't see him being that playmaking stud.....and oh yeah, he has Peyton Manning throwing to him, who could even make Ted Ginn look good..... -
well your wrong.... he is not.... -
Pierre Garcon is a nice player, and definitely better than Davone Bess. Hate to say it, but not only is he A LOT faster, he's bigger and more physical.
Besides, I think we'd have a better shot at Austin Collie. White WR's FTW! -
I agree, i think garcon could be a legit #1 and id like to see him in miami. -
Clearly we already have him when Bess is a guy that rarely ever pushes the issue up the field with his 4.6 speed while Garcon can flat out burn.

The other is 6"0, 210, probably runs in the 4.4 range and plays outside.
No idea why Garcon is being compared to Bess tbh.Rhody Phins Fan likes this. -
I'm not a big fan of trying to get our superstars by trading with other teams. You get raped in draft picks that way. The best way is to draft your own players. And sometimes you hit on a nugget in free agency but that has it's own risks with cap space ala Gibril Wilson.
if we need a WR that bad we can draft one. Someone will talent will be available for us in the 2nd round whether it's Golden Tate or Arrelious Benn but we can get a good WR this year if we want.
