Adam Beasley has been told that several Dolphins players have already privately expressed that they want out of this situation. Real consequences coming.

What does it mean "real consequences".
The atmosphere around every story on this team os so negative nowadays.
Hope this is just an exagerrated report and one or two FAs are basically saying they wanna sign somewhere else. Though thats not so good either. -
hell, they are part of the problem. there is not one LEADER among them. there is not one LEADER in this whole organization. this is why we are where we are.

there are always players that want out & privately express it.
and it will be so with every franchise, forever & ever... amen!
who would seriously listen to Adam Beasley?
the hack is once again in the "privately expressed" mode, think about it.
this forum is beginning to resemble the gossip papers/magazines placed near the check-out of the grocery store... short on fact, heavy on unsubstantiated opinion & sensationalism
simply comic-book :couch: scandalous! (lol)gunn34, xphinfanx, Puka-head and 1 other person like this. -

FWIW, here's what Omar said about this:

RT @Jeff722 heard players were ready to leave situation? > Players play for money. Nobody gives two poops what they think.

All 53 players on an NFL team are their own franchise, have their own agenda and team. Players are USUALLY self serving and have agendas.

To be completely honest, the only player whose opinion I'd value is Brent Grimes. And even he doesn't have much say with the FRANCHISE TAG.
And I pretty much agree with all of it.mroz likes this. -
We're beyond a joke at this point, we're an embarrassment to the league.

The stuff from Omar and the other comments about this not being a big deal is nonsense. It is a big deal. It's pretty simple logic:
The quality of the organization does matter to players. They want to win. Of course, they want their money. But, all else being equal, they also want to play for a quality franchise. So, if someone is willing to pay Starks or Soliai or other free agents equal money that Miami is - they will bolt.
Sure, if Miami wants to pay well over market value, then they will stay. But, are any of you really willing to part with big bucks - above market value - to keep those guys? Didn't think so.
So, yes, it does matter that players want out.
And, then, to get players in, Miami will have to pay an extra premium on top of just barely outbidding someone. It is a problem.
The same problem that kept GMs from coming in.Bpk likes this. -
yep organization means nothing to players good thing Peyton manning felt that way i guess

A GOOD organization can:
- Attract top tier talent
- That talent wants to WIN, not just get paid. Consequently after you pay them they still play very hard and you win more.
- Get the same talent for less money, because players will take less to play for a great team than a crappy team
A BAD organization:
- Cannot attract players who care about winning first (usually the best players)
- Has to overpay free agents to play for them (this includes re-signing players)
- Once overpaid, these players don't care since they didn't join a bad team to try to win, but only to cash in… so the team lses more and gets bad return on investmentsAquafin, cdz12250 and Unlucky 13 like this. -
I'd be willing to bet that Miami now has less player appeal than frigid places like Green Bay or Minnesota. Our draft picks are probably going to be disappointed when Goodell calls their name on our behalf.

It was also a joke though, but apparently we're just taking everything seriously right now. -

What a day. On a day that should be kind of a celebration, or at worse, keep everyone hoping, this has been a completely chaotic day with pros and cons and doom and gloom, and some optimism on top. We have what we have. Time to focus on getting some things right without all the hoopla.

I understand how the players feel as a fan I too want out

Whatever Hickey did while working in TB does not matter now. All that matters is what he does from here forward. I hope he does great. Not saying he will but I sure as gawd damn hell ain't going to be hoping for utter failure simply because he wasn't the guy I wanted hired as GM.
It seems some posters here would rather see the team fail and they be right, than see the team succeed and they be wrong. Not mentioning any names, but they know who they are.cuchulainn likes this.
