Only a couple of weeks left in the 2022 NFL season and the playoffs are right around the corner. Time for everyone to make their predictions. Here's how I'm seeing the playoffs unfolding as it is right now.
AFC
I believe Kansas City it going to win their reaming last 2 and Buffalo is going to falter against Cincinnati, giving the Chiefs the number 1 seed.
(1) Kansas City Bye
(2) Buffalo v (7) Miami
(3) Cincinnati v (6) LA Chargers
(4) Jacksonville v (5) Baltimore
NFC
The NFC is a hot mess and bit more difficult to predict. Only the top 3 in the NFC seem to be locks. Tampa Bay SHOULD win the NFC South, but then again, who knows.
(1) Philadelphia
(2) Minnesota v (7) Green Bay
(3) San Francisco v (6) NY Giants
(4) Tamp Bay v (5) Dallas
The AFC seems a bit easier to predict than the NFC but that's what I have.

I’m starting to wonder whether we even make the playoffs. This Sunday feels like a loss and who knows about the Jets, especially if Tua misses more time. The dolphins have desensitized me from caring too much either way.

Well the first round of the playoffs are just about over. Looks like I had all of the AFC teams pegged right, just had the seeding off by one.
With the wins yesterday, the AFC Divisional round will be as follows.
Kansas City v Jacksonville
Buffalo v Cincinnati
If Jacksonville has as many turnovers with Kansas City as the did with the Chargers, they are toast! The Chiefs are too disciplined of a team to allow an opponent that big of a comeback.
With how Buffalo played against Miami yesterday, it really wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see then Bengals go into Orchard Park and roll all over the Bills.
My prediction? I think the AFC Championship game is going to be Cincinnati v Jacksonville. I just have a feeling about the Jaguars being that upset Cinderella sleeper in the AFC this year.
We have to wait for the outcome of tonight’s game between Tampa Bay and Dallas, but as it stands…
Philadelphia v NY Giants
San Francisco v Tampa/Dallas
The Giants weren’t even supposed to be in the playoff hunt but they went into Minnesota and shocked the Vikings. Could they be the the sleeper in the NFC?
Still on the fence about tonight’s game to be able to make a call.
Philadelphia SHOULD take care of the Giants in the Divisional round…but with how they played yesterday, you never know. -
I hope Burrow plays a top game and takes down the Bills.

In the AFC, the Bills didn't look good, but the Bengals didn't look good either. Their OL is kinda bad. That said, both were playing a third divisional game, which makes things weird. Wouldn't be surprised to see either team win, hopefully not the Bills. A Bengals and Chiefs rematch would be entertaining. Hard to see Jacksonville winning in Arrowhead. Chiefs have a better defense, better QB and much better coaching than the Chargers. Lawrence cannot have a game like that again and expect to win.dolphin25 likes this. -
One of these remaining teams that should not be here are going to advance. Personally, there's just no way I'm counting out Tom Brady until the final seconds tick away against Dallas. I fully believe he can get it done against them tonight. I can't believe I'm rooting for him at this point. Of the remaining teams left, I'd like to see Philly, the Giants, or TB get to the Super Bowl. Seeing Cincy take it home would be cool too I guess.

My guess:
KC over Jax
Cinci over Buffalo
Cinci over KC
Dallas over Tampa
Philly over Giants
San Fran over Dallas
San Fran over Philly
Then finally, Cinci over San Fran in the Super Bowl.
I'm personally rooting for Jax to go all the way, then I guess I'm pulling for Philly in the NFC (don't care about the NFC, LOL). If not Jax though, then I'd like to see Burrow get a ring.
The team I dislike the most of this group? Easily Tampa, but I'm also rooting hard against the Bills since they're the sudden league sweethearts over the Hamlin situation. Plus, with Tua we would have beaten the Bills in the playoffs, so the heck with them, LOL.Last edited: Jan 16, 2023vmarcilfan75 and ExplosionsInDaSky like this. -
As long as the Bills lose I'll be happy. I really want to see Josh Allen get knocked off his pedestal.

I also want the Bills to lose, but you guys are selling the Bills short in their game against Cinci. They're still favored to win (spread is -4). Anyway, I think the winner on the AFC side is very likely KC. NFC is harder to predict: PHI vs. SF is a tossup.
Teams I'm rooting against are Bills and SF. SF mostly because I still can't forgive them for beating Marino in 1984 and because that franchise has 5 SBs, which is tied for 2nd after the leaders NE and Pitt with 6 SBs. Ultimately, it's the number of SBs that says which franchise is best all-time and I don't want SF joining 2 others I dislike.KeyFin likes this. -

I actually wouldn’t count out the Jaguars so easily. They’re peeking at the right time. You really never know.KeyFin likes this. -
Unfortunately with the Bengals OL injuries and weak corners I think even the flawed Bills team wins. Rooting on the Chiefs because no way do I want Allen in a Superbowl.

It's ALWAYS a delight to see the Cowboys and Jerry Jones lose, so looking forward to that. Other than them, the Bills are the obvious team I want no part of winning (or even being in). Other than that, I don't really care all that much.

If the Dallas Cowboys I saw last night show up in San Francisco next week, it's not going to be a walk in the park so to speak for the 49ers. It sure seemed everything was firing on all cylinders for Dallas last night.

Burrow is the only qb in the league that I would bet on to overcome that line situation, but the difficulty is compounded by the fact that he has to do it for three games. I don’t see it happening.dolphin25 likes this. -
Well gotta work today. That sucks but I have the Jaguars v Chiefs game set to record. Hopefully it won’t be a late day.
Find myself pulling for the underdogs today. Jacksonville since that it my original hometown…and the Giants because they’ve slayed the Patriots not once, but twice in past Super Bowls. -
Would love to see the Giants pull off the upset here in Philly. -
I like to see the underdogs pull off the upsets.

So, on touchdowns from now on just keep punching the ball until the receiver gets to the bench.
