Jared Veldheer is the prize at LT. It isn't even close. Veldheer is only 26. If the Dolphins come away from free agency and the draft with LT Veldheer,RT Cameron Erving,OC Gabe Ikard, and Joel Bitonio to play LG, while moving Pouncey to RG, then; the Dolphins will have a running game and top shelf pass protection.

per source or per speculation?

Would not be surprised to see us go heavily OL in free agency more than the draft - after the disaster of this last year, I cannot see anyone (Philbin, Ireland or someone else) wanting to relay on a bunch of rookies to fix the problem. Target 1-2 rookies, stabilize the rest with FA's.

Anthony Collins seems like he'd be more to Joe Philbin's liking as a left tackle...if Philbin is still around.

We will probably just stay status quo. Seems to be this franchise's MO.

Albert's the blue chip guy, who has the most experience at a high level playing in a similar blocking scheme.

Based on the fact this speculation is already out. I predict there is zero percent chance Albert will be a member of the Miami Dolphins next year.
At this same time two years ago, most people thought Peyton Manning was going to be the Dolphins next QB and Jeff Fisher was going to be the next head coach. I think Albert coming to the Dolphins has about as much chance at this time, as the Manning and Fisher rumors had two years ago. Albert might consider the Dolphins once he becomes a free agent, but I think he will decide to go elsewhere. -

Albert is 30 and has back issues, so it won't surprise me to see Jeff give him a long term deal that he will never live up to.
I think it is more likely that they throw a ton of money at Michael Oher, who sucks.ASOT, Boik14 and Clark Kent like this. -
Oher or Albert would be fine with me. Both are upgrades over the dogshhcit we have at tackle right now so I wont complain.

Nope...
We will trade up for a LT who gets injured at the combine, but seems healthy, then has to only play on passing downs here and there. But because he is developing, Ross will get talked into Ireland's master plan for 2015. Which will also entail drafting 4 other players who need 2 years to develop and when we suck in 2015, Ireland will then tell Ross:
"But if you just get me a new Head Coach!!! I have all these young guys who are now ready in 2016!!! Look, we have Dion Jordan, Will Davis, Jamar Taylor, Dion Sims, and all these draft picks from 2014 and 2015, and a TON of cap space to sign ONE GREAT FA!!! We will prevail in 2016!!!" And then Ross will make Ireland Head Coach and GM and my head will explode.ASOT likes this. -

I agree. Fire him so the Dolphins can hire him and Ross finally can get rid of one of the worst GM's in the NFL. If we could only be so lucky to get a great GM like Newsome, instead of being stuck with Ireland for one more years. Only in my dreams. -
