Jets at 17? What the Bleep? You should have lost to Tampa? What do they want a cookie?

I've always respected Pat Kirwan. He's a pretty level headed guy who knows his football.
That being said - last week he was asked about the other QBs in the AFC East besides Brady. He said if he were an NFL GM he would take Manuel over Tannehill. Seemed like a knee jerk reaction to Manuel's impressive game winning drive in week 2. I wonder if he wants to backtrack on that yet?Aqua4Ever04, Mile High Fin and HULKFish like this. -
might be worth calling him up and asking him sometime this week.
as far as his rankings, if you listen to his logic on the rankings, it usually makes sense. He ranks the Falcons behind the Jets because he feels like with the injuries the Falcons have they may not be able to beat the Jets, which is more important criteria than record. although in this case it does seem like record influenced his rankings of San Fran and Atlanta.
I think Atlanta beats New England, so it should correct itself soon.HULKFish likes this. -
Does any of this really matter? With due respect to Pat what matters is our play on the field and how far we go in Jan. All else means diddly poo!

I take it PFT ignored the details about his extension and how it was given during the offseason. God forbid they let facts get in the way of their wit.mbsinmisc likes this.

The comment section on Power Rankings articles always delivers the lulz.

#7 on the ESPN power rankings, with Tannehill center left on ESPN's NFL home page.

Yeah that's ridiculous. Let's see what a Jets-Falcons spread would be right now. Also not sure about the chiefs above us - they beat the Cowboys, Eagles and Jax, we beat Indy, Atlanta and Cleveland

ESPN power rankings has us at 7, right behind Cin.

ESPN is gonna suck our ***** all week. We play on MNF. They are not a sports news reporting operation, they are an ad selling self promotion machine.

Andrew luck made a statement by beating a SF team that everyone has figured out and Jim harbaugh hasn't made any adjustments.. This isn't college anymore Jim.. But I still laugh about how the sports world is head ove heels about that statement game... Wake up ppl, shut down the run and SF isn't that good.. Kap seems to be a typical running qb.. Figure out the option and game over.. Look at the eagles.. That offense can be defended buy keeping the run game and the qb between the tackles.. But yea Andrew luck made a statement... SF isn't that good...

You are right, I take everything I see or hear on TV, radio and the intergoogle with a grain of salt. I thought when ESPN started it was gonna be the CNN of sports. They have grown so far beyond that. They have to pay the bills, but sometimes it feels more like feeding the monster.

Umm, what? Have you seen Philly at all this year? LeSean McCoy has been a juggernaut inside the tackles. And Philly just finished up 3 games in 10 days. Their two losses weren't terrible ones either. Vick almost brought them back against SD and KC got a few lucky breaks, one of which was a tipped ball INT that went for 6. Prior to that game, Vick was on fire. Want to beat Philly? Line up against their defense. That's the bigger issue right now.
