I don't want to be a party-pooper and dream-crusher, but lets face it, the Dolphins are masters of disappointment and experts in hope-bursting.
In a very short time we have gone from possible Andrew Luck, to possible Robert Griffin, to Possible Peyton Manning.
I am here to prepare you for the most heartbreaking, yet realistic scenario.
Here it goes.
Andrew Luck goes to the Colts.
Robert Griffin goes to the Browns or Redskins.
Peyton Manning goes to Arizona or Denver.
Matt Flynn goes to Seattle.
Dolphins are left with drafting Ryan Tannehill, or in the absolute worse scenario, Matt Moore, if the Redskins take Tannehill after Browns trade for Griffin.
Be prepared, lest you are crushed.

Yes as a dolphin fan I agree with the above post, I am expecting all of this haha
-
I'm prepared for it too, but I think the front office is going all in and that we are going to end up with Peyton Manning. You look at what the Miami Heat and the The Marlins have done and I think we are going to follow suit.
So I do expect Manning to be a Dolphin. The dissapointment i'm waiting for is during the preseason when Manning tears his ACL, followed by Reggie Bush fracturing his tibia. -

Wide receiver turned QB with 20 starts in college football and you're gonna sit there and tell me he wouldn't have a possible bust neon sign on his forehead if they take him in the first round?
Still some people complain about Flynn's lack of experience. -

Bottom line is that online sports forums are full of people that have been posting for years that look down on newcomers and label them band wagoners. -
Oh don't worry, deep down I think we can definitely f*** this up royally. It's Ross and Ireland. I have some hope they will be prepared though. I'll feel better if he leaves Denver tonight (tom morning?) with no contract.

If it's worst case, I think I'd go for Weeden and roll with MM. We have a soft-ish schedule from what we have been fed the last few years. Disappointing, but life rolls on. Whether we win or lose, I still have bills to pay. Just helps if I pay them happy or postal.

If you aren't going to back up your overly pessimistic/optimistic tripe then it needs to either be bottled up, so that it can fester and grow inside of you long enough that it eventually bursts out, kicks a puppy or two, then goes and roots for the Jets, since the entirety of their fan base is made of various things that come from regret, hate and bodily fluids....or post it in the "rants" forum above. Your choice Chief, but I guarantee most of us don't care which you choose. -
Or is it the fact that I'm new that makes my opinion less valid?
He could have just asked me why do i think he is a bust, instead of belittling my comment because of my lack of posting history.
Just saying. No need to get into a back and forth here really. -
See 'round bro. :knucks: -
I never got **** when I was a new poster... Then again I wasn't so damn defensive..

If you had 40,000 posts, the guy would have found something else to reply snarky back.
I write plenty of short opinions, I get plenty of snarky comments back because of them. I have been here since the board was created and was on the board that most people migrated from for over 10 years. It has nothing with you being new. -

As for me, he's not Luck or RG3, but he is the next best option, has a history in our new offense (assuming the chips fall as you suggested), and we do have first hand info on his potential ability. I don't think he's a 'can't miss' prospect by any stretch of the imagination. I like that he's pretty accurate and is athletic enough to be able to successfully change from QB in HS, to WR and then back to QB in college and still make a good showing for himself. Again, I don't know that he's going to remind anyone of Rodgers or Montana, but he may be as good as Jeff Garcia was in this offense ??
So, whats your reasons for him being a bust ??
BTW, OT, I can see that scenario falling into place as well. Have even mentioned it once or twice...that there's a good chance that none of this works out for us or at least not the way we'd like to see it work out...
No one said or intimated that they were looking down on you or calling you a bandwagoner, however we'd like to hear your why's and wherefore's because what you stated goes against what most of the draftniks are saying... -

I've warned the board of this very thing too. We will have people on the ledge jumping to a horrible death.
Ross and Ireland will be burned at the stake when this fiasco is over.... mark my word. -

Very well. Allow me to amend my "Tannehill has bust written all over him" with a IMHO.
I really did not want this thread to turn into a back and forth with fellow Dolfans. I blame the Dolphins for making us fans bitter and sorrowful.Tin Indian and The G Man like this. -

Lemme guess, you're one of those "people" (and use the term loosely) that think not signing Cowher or Gruden reflects badly on us right? I mean forget the fact they are retired and haven't come out of retirement for anyone. Who needs facts when you have a sandy vagina, right? What about Fisher you say, he took one look at our FO and ran, barefoot to St. Louis? I mean forget the fact he was willing to come here if we gacve him somnething we didn't want him to have, he turned us down...right? Who needs facts when your diaper is full and beginning to chafe?
Point is, you haven't stated a single fact, and instead you just basically cried like a teen girl who wasn't allowed to read Twilight. Most of us can only hope that soon, you'll be distracted by all the hot guys in your class and therefore lose interest in football, and stop crapping up these boards. -
But just so you don't feel alone, I too have a bad feeling about how this is gonna end.
