Yup ... that's what's happening to me. Very frustrating.

Playstation.com is all wonky too. Weird.

Yeah I'm on an 80 gig (the bundle pack ps3 with MGS4) and it won't let me sign into PSN but Madden 10 offline is still working so that's a blessing. Just waiting for it to come back so we can continue our online franchise. (and maybe complete a trade with my boi Bpk).

Come to think of it the first time I turned on my PS3 tonight it made a loud beeping sound and the blue light indicating a disk was in the system never came on. After I turned the PS3 on again my screen resolution had been automatically reset to 480p and I had to fix it to read at 1080p. I just thought I had done something along the line but now reading this I guess not.
Wow this is a pretty widespread bug it seems. I know some have been complaining to Sony about Heavy Rain bugs so it all could be a link. I'm interested to see how this shakes out and see if its firmware etc. -
This is so bad for Sony. I feel sorry for the people working there today, because the crap must be really hitting the fan. Hard.
That said, I'm disappointed by this. And it won't help people want to buy Sony's next platform.
They're lucky the slim isn;t affected or sales would be hurt even MORE. -
Wow somewhere in his dungeon Bill Gates is laughing.

My PS3 is working fine...but should I turn it off just to be safe?

I could care less about trophies anyways. They're just imaginary with little pictures of them.
I do care that I can't play my games and act like a teenager though. -
This is crazy. I played some Bioshock 2 yesterday afternoon, and noticed while playing it said an error occurred and I was logged out of PSN. I didn't try and log back in, nor did I play anymore after I was done.
This totally blows though. I have a 60 gig fat PS3, so maybe I shouldn't even turn the thing on again until this is fixed? -
I wouldn't turn it on at all HardKore until this is fixed. If it's a firmware problem then it can mess up your system...it has before like with the 2.40 firmware release.
Also Doc all your downloads are stored in the PSN store download list so if your current game is corrupted you should be able to re-download it from there. Now if there is a glitch that affects that then Sony better answer because I have around 5 or so downloaded games.
For Sony though this could affect sales of multi-platform games like BF:BC2 and yes even FFXIII...terrible time for this to happen for them.HardKoreXXX and DrAstroZoom like this. -
Doesnt effect slim????

I laugh maniacally as I continue to play my ps3 slim. :tongue2: Sorry guys just teasing, but hope yours are fixed soon.

One other thing: it is absolutely unconscionable that Sony doesn't have anything about this issue on the Playstation home page. Totally inexcusable.

Anyone know if this is strictly PS3's that are online, or all?

haha Soldier. I had got disconnected three times while playing some online Madden games, after not having a single disconnect in 100 games or so, thought that was odd. Now my beautiful 0% DNF is 2%
