When I watch the games I notice that other teams have their IR players roaming the sidelines. However, I notice that our injured guys are nowhere to be found. I remember there being an article or a policy a few months back but don't know the gist of it. Does Parcells allowed injured players that don't dress to be on the sideline during a game?

Sparano has mentioned in many a press conference how team policy is not to have injured players on the sideline
It was brought up many times this season.. our reporters are stupid asking him the same question over and over again since the Penny injury... and sparano always gives them the same blunt answer.PhinishLine likes this. -
It's team by team I think. Some allow them to come others just tell them not to fly out or come down.

F.O. answered it above, but I wanted to add that I'm not sure if it's the best policy. I see some advantages in it motivating players to get back so they can be on the field but there's a cost. I have to think that it could have been helpful Henne to be able to talk with CP on the sidelines during games for example.

I sometimes think it would be good if the injured players could be there for moral support.LandShark13 likes this. -

Yeah, I would imagine an extra set of eyes wouldn't hurt on gameday.

There are times when exceptions should be made in most situations.
