I would like to know who is the new GM, the players he signs, the players he lets go, the players he drafts and then I will start making predictions. Plus who is the coaching staff.

Schedule next season looks tough, I think less than 7 wins, unless our draft is stellar.
-
Ill tell you after the draft and FA period.
-
10 or more. Tannehill takes the r leap with an improved OL and the right tutelage.
With a healthy Gibson, Wallace, Hartline, Matthews, Keller (hopefully) and what I'm hoping is a serviceable running back not named Miller or Thomas, this offense will have the chance to be great.MikeHoncho likes this. -

With the players they have on their roster right now and the schedule they have next year, probably 6 wins is what I think would be my guess.
Of course with Ireland gone and a new GM on the way, I suspect several of the players on this years team will not be on the Dolphins roster next year. Hopefully Ross will finally hire a GM who can select talent in the draft that can come in and contribute immediately.
Right now with a new GM on the way and not knowing who will be on the roster next year, it is really impossible to know what this teams record will be in 2014. All I know is that with Ireland gone, I feel much more confident about the future of the Miami Dolphin football team. -

I think it's too soon to predict record, because we have no clue what will go down personnel-wise between now and September, nor what our coaching staff will look like...not even Philbin is bullet-proof at the moment. -

When we have a new GM and OC I'll be able to give a solid answer to that question.
-
Joe Philbin is still the head coach, so 7.
-
-
If we can upgrade the O-line through the draft and FA, the LB's can get the run D back, and Tannehill takes another step forward. I think 10 wins is very realistic. All three of those factors seem very feasible.

This team should have won at least 10 games this season. With a few bounces as many as 13 if we were luckier, but I saw it as a 10-win talent club.
The people who are brought in will determine if they get the most out of the club in 2014. I'll let you know if I feel better when the new front office and offensive staff is in place, but right now I say 8 or 9. -
Winston will be Geno Smith with speed. -

16, then lose our first play-off game lol.
In all seriousness I don't see why we can't win 11 or more games with the right people in charge. -
I think it really depends on who the new GM is and what kind of plan he and Philbin will work out. If the new GM hates this roster and decides a massive overhaul is in order, team could take a step back before moving forward.
If he believes he just needs to fill some holes along the OL, then 10+ and playoffs is not out of the realm of possibility.
I picked 7 to 9. -

Really, can't we at least wait until the new GM has free agency and the draft to work through and present us with a final roster? Even then its a tough question to answer, because he can't do all the work in one short offseason.
-
-
A little early for this, no?
No idea who the GM, OC, or even players will be. Can't even fathom trying to predict wins at this point. -
Joe Philbin got up on national T.V. twice, not once and specifically said his team and players lacked "Swagger"
Not only did he say they lacked it, but he defined it
So insult your entire team by saying it lacks confidence
And then wonder why they sh*t the bed the next 2 games:up:
Can't wait till they fire his a$$ -
We know it's early, if you have nothing to add that's fine too. It's january, some of us want to look forward to next season.

Ok, you're serious ?? Predict right now ?? Sorry, I don't think so...see me after the draft...

This should be another poll: Will this thread finish with more predictions or excuses?
It's not like you can't change your mind after the draft or a new GM is appointed, or the 2013 post season ends. -
I usually talk about how the draft is not something that affects much change in the upcoming season but rather is something you engage in for future seasons. It absolutely CAN affect the upcoming season, if you hit the right rookies and get a lot of contribution from them. But generally free agents are for Years 1 to 2 and rookies are for Years 2 to 3.
Similarly, changing the GM position is not something that I believe usually affects your fortunes immediately unless you hit unusually well on a set of fresh acquisitions. I think it takes an organizational change including and especially at the coaching level to really change a team's fortunes that way.
I could be wrong but even though I love Tom Gamble as a GM candidate, my opinion of what the Dolphins do in 2014 would not be significantly changed by his hire. The primary question remains whether this team is being LED by the right people...and I think the answer is no. -
Last two brutal losses with everything on the line were on the coaches..
I wonder how much money a franchise makes when their team makes the playoffs. -
