Dang...didn't see this coming. Of realistic possibilities pre-draft for 2010 I had McClain #2 for Miami to take behind Dez prior to signing Dansby. Of course, didn't get past Oakland at #8.
From what I recall Saban had high praise for McClain. Maybe I just assumed he was high character off the field do to football intelligence. Smart player on the field obviously doesn't translate to smart player off the field.
Anyone know what his upbringing was like? Can't imagine it was good...can take the boy out of the hood but can't take the hood out of the boy? -

Neither does the dejected guy on the right.
