So unless Fisher leaves money on the table, this leads me to believe he'll be heading to Miami.
Some are gonna love it, some are gonna hate.

Unless they mean his visit tomorrow. Have heard he was going to visit STL facility tomorrow. At this point who really knows.

Odd, if no contract negotiations have begun, this maybe isn't the done deal most thought it was going to be -
Just wait til florio says this is part of the leverage game that only he thought of. Because no one in the history of man has leveraged anything. Not like there's a prime time network show with that title

However, as coach, I'd be fine with Dave Toub or Todd Bowles. -

If we don't land Fisher I'd be fine with keeping Bowles. -

I dont like that he is meeting with them again.

Have to wonder if duck hunting is a euphemism. -

As much as it pains me to say... if Jeff Fisher announces he has picked Miami, I will be shocked. The Rams are going to get one of the top 5 coaches in the league. Well, congrats to them. I suppose the Phins will just wind up hiring yet another unproven coordinator. Maybe we get lucky this time and he turns out average.
No coach. No QB. I have no faith in this owner or this GM. Fisher will very likely take (much?) less money to coach in the armpit of a city that is St Louis for, possibly, the worst team of the last 5 years. I am dumbfounded, disappointed, and losing my patience with this sad-sack laughingstock of a football team. -

Ross most certainly is a Billionaire and yes he does own the Dolphins but in no way shape or form is the guys a sports magnate nor does ne understand and apparently care, how it all works. Kroenke stayed quiet and when the time was right, fired his coach and looked for another one.
On the other end of the Spectrum, Ross turned his coaching search into a traveling Ringling bros show and then tried to deny it. Retread coaches and retread Assistants, thats all Ross will get as long as he keeps the clown nose on. The team, area or fans have no control over that. Not one respectable coach or sought after assistant has any respect for this teams owner. Can't say I blame them either.Larry Little, PSG and jw3102 like this. -
It is unbelievable that some individuals on here actually want Bowles as the Dolphins next head coach. The secondary, which is the unit he has coached for the last four years has been one of the most inconsistent units on the entire team during this period.
To me Bowles was never a serious candidate for the job. He was merely interviewed to comply with the leagues, Rooney Rule. It is time the Dolphins clean out the entire coaching staff that led this team to a 6-10 record this past season. Bowles may be a nice guy, but I have absolutely no interest in seeing him as the next HC of the Dolphins.
If Ross doesn't hire Fisher, I would prefer that he hire Jay Gruden or Rob Chudzinski as the next HC of the Dolphins. None of the coaches he has interviewed so far, except for Fisher, makes me want to go out and buy season tickets again next year. I think Gruden or Chudzinski would make better head coaches than any of the other coaches Ross has interviewed or is said to be interested in interviewing. -

This Head Coach search is becoming stressful to me, to many different reports and opinions, the only thing that I really want is having the ability to get in the first round Justin Blackmon and Weeden in the second.

What he said (with the exception of Fisher). Having watched Jay grow from qb to arena OC to head coach here in Orlando, I can tell you this guy can flat out coach. He knows how to surround himself with the right people to win, and how to handle players. The guy is gonna be a Damn good NFL head coach somewhere and I hopes its in Miami.DOLPHAN1 likes this. -

Which does tell me Fisher really has to be convinced to sign with the Rams. -

Fisher: I like it here. Will I have the ability to hire the GM and have some personnel say?
Ross: No we already have Jeff Ireland.
Fisher: OK. Thanks for the stone crabs. Gotta head to St. Louis.Larry Little and jw3102 like this. -
It would not surprise me in the least to see the Rams in the playoffs next season, if Fisher takes the job.
