Which player's dad has a close personal relationship with somebody on staff? That's who the geniuses will draft.
I'm not knocking Ginn with that, either. I'm glad the kid is showing promise. That still doesn't justify the apparent reason for picking him. -

i hope it is someone other than randy mueller who will be in charge of this pick.

I think that was the only thing I got right as far as last years draft. I called it months ahead and said Levi Brown would never make it to Miami's draft spot. Back when people were questioning whether he would even be Top 15. -
Ummm, has anybody tought Randy might not be here come next year. I mean he has not done a bad job, but he really dropped the ball on guys like Porter, Martin and Liweinski. Also, im still worried about Beck who has struggled alot in the last three games and has not done anything to make you say ,wow.

I also have another Question has Mcfadden declared, is he a senior or junior?????

runner up for hiesman 2 years in a row and can play 3 positions

Seems like Randy's just putting out a principle about drafting in the early rounds, sounds like most other GMs, what's not to believe?
In an audio last week, he also mentions that he looks for great speed and large size...again, just another draft principle...so looking back to last year's draft, it's obvious he had Ginn his BPA because of his superior speed. -

Randy won't have to worry about it anyway.

If the Patriots do end up picking second, the Dolphins may not have to convince anyone that McFadden is going to be the pick. Other teams will have to trade for the #1 pick if they want McFadden. There will be suitors for that, and if we have to take a little less than what the chart suggests, I'm ok with it. This team needs a lot of talented players, not just one guy, and we all know it.
I hope Mueller means it about taking BPA. There's no unit on the Dolphins so strong that it couldn't use a(nother) talented player. That includes our running back corps, which will have Ronnie coming back from surgery, a second year back that has barely seen playing time, and a comeback player who is worthless as a receiver and ran out of gas as the season wore on. -

Randy is as good as it is going to get around here, I have faith in him. Our last draft is going to end up looking pretty good. We definitely need more bodies, but McFadden is not a bad addition to any roster, period. I would lock into him as our pick so anybody that covets him knows it’s going to cost them. If we have to take him, great. He won’t make this team worse, that’s for sure. If we solidify the line it would really help every aspect of offense. We aren’t that far off with Beck, McFadden, Ginn, Satelle, Booker, etc. A couple players on defense and this team wins a lot more games pretty fast.

I just hope the Phins have done something about the in house medical staff.

A lot of GMs will pay lip service to the BPA theory but when it comes down to crunchtime they often are pressured to make their picks on need.
They can always justify their picks later with a myriad of reasons.I wouldnt pay much attention to it. -
How can you tell a National Football League G.M. is talking about the draft? All G.M.'s start lying...
He's lying his butt off. They all do it...
McFadden is not the pick. If it is not Dorsey, Long or a trade down I'm quitting. -
