I just used for the first time the Christmas present that my wife got me. With some direct hints , she got me the Altec Lansing IM310 for the kitchen, and also we can take it camping as it uses batteries as well. Only weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces, and the sound quality kicks butt. It also has a second device connection for CD, DVD, and MP3 players. I also have the Altec Lansing M602 for my den by my computer, and it rocks as well. The IM310 my wife got at Wal-Mart for 74.95 I believe it was. The M602 goes for 149.99, I got mine on sale for 99.99 I believe.
I just wanted to pass this along. You can't go wrong with Altec Lansing for IPod speakers.
