I don't think Reggie is a bad player, but he doesn't fit our running game. He missed so many holes last year, and resulted in so many killed drives because of bad decisions (which put us behind in the down and distance). If they think Miller can produce as effectively (and at a fraction of the cost I might add), I certainly won't complain.

 

Would you rather have kept Bush but not had Wallace, or maybe Keller or someone?

I hear ya' bro. Totally, but I also think Reggie is getting a bit of a bad rap. A lot of these criticisms of his running style apply more to when he was first here, but he said he wanted to be a featured back and we mostly doubted him, but he did just that and was just shy of consecutive 1000 yd rushing seasons. He pounded the ball up the middle and took contact more and we all were pretty much impressed here. I actually don't have a problem with his style of moving around and trying to make something happen and trying to make space. Yes, it pisses me off sometimes because it occasionally causes a little loss, but it's that style and ability that's made him break some great runs and some runs for TDs. Again, just shy of consecutive 1000 yd rushing seasons. That style is why he was and revered coming out of USC. I guess I'm willing to sacrifice the few for the many, but that's not all I would want. He doesn't make it a complete backfield. He's the lightning, but there needs to be some thunder to compliment him. D. Thomas hasn't lived up to that role as of yet. As for Miller. I really like him. I loved that pick. I had him rated as the third best back in that class. I thought that was a great pick and I think he's flashed some good potential, but is was a very small sample size. I, obviously trust that Philbin & Co know what they're doing and they've seen a lot more of him at practice, etc. I hope he can be a bigger part of the running game next season. I guess, I'll be cool with it, but Reggie was one of the play makers on a team lacking play makers, but I will get on the Miller train right away. I would like to get Lacey in this draft. He could be a nice thunder to Millers' lightning. Peace!

 

Miami still has plenty of cap space to absorb Reggie Bush's contract. They just really didn't want him.

 

I would take Reggie over Keller. JMO and keeping Reggie would not prevent them from signing Wallace.

 

I would always prefer Bush as long as it's Brazilian.
