"What THE HELL IS GOIN ON OUT THERE!!!!!!"
Y'all do realize we have, on our team, one of the premier defensive football players in the game..
You want stats..PFF, who watches the tape, #2 overall, behind Mr.Watt..
Eye test, freakish..thee most explosive athlete in the NFL...relentless...
Body...perfect..complete.. symmetrical...balance.
This dude is a star, he's ours, we need to accept that, and start putting his talents into perspective..
Somebody needs to follow this dude around in the offseason and make a documentary about it.
5 sacks boys and girls..4 more obvious holds, and numerous hits on the qb..
Wonder if he has a tv yet..
Did y'all see the Kracken release after his sacks..I LoVe when he does that..and you know damn well what I'm yelling when he does...

Deej..had me going until the body thing.
To me, he is the equal to Suggs.
I'm not 100% but think he may have set the team record on Sunday.
Worth every penny, hopefully he can teach the Baby Squid (Olivier Vernon) how to get after the Qb.HULKFish likes this. -
I do that same celebration in front of the t.v when he gets a sack lol
Man did those no calls on wake piss me off all game, I just kept screaming "HOLDING" and then AZ would complete a pass down field on 3rd and long. Jeez
that's the type of crap that gets me angry, we would of probably got off the field and won the game. :pity:dolfan32323 likes this. -
Doubtful. Wake is a great player but also comes off as a very selfish player. He's been reported to take reps from other players in drills just because he wants to go again. -
I think I'll call Vernon Squidward -

I'm honestly not fine with it. If anything he should be letting younger guys get EXTRA reps because they need them much more. An extra 50 practice reps in a week (made up number) does very little for a player the caliber of Wake at this point. However those same fifty practice reps are HUGE for younger players who don't get as many in game reps to develop.

To clarify, it was reported that when practicing, if one of the other DEs in the line had his turn when Jake Long would come up, Wake would get him to move aside so he could take the reps with Long. He said he wanted to go against the best so he could improve the most he possibly could. Which is fine, but what about the other guys wanting to improve the most they possibly could too?
I assume the other players still got their reps, just against other, lesser linemen.
The mentality suggests what's on Wake's mind is making sure he gets the best practice possible for himself. He doesn't seem to have any concern about making sure the other guys get a chance to work with 'the best' aka Jake.
I also remember him giving Solomon Wilcots a tour of the facility and mentioning he likes to cut in front of the younger players in the lunch line, because what are they gonna say'/do?
I mean, in interviews he still seems like a nice guy, but I think he is less of a mentor type than a guy like, say, Reggie Bush or even Matt Moore. -
The title of the thread sounds like Cameron Wake just got out of jail and hems going after MILFS. lol
I was rooting for him to break Derrick Tomas' record last sunday! He's so good that he will one day.
We serious need to get video footage of everytime he gets held with no flag and flood Roger Goodel's email and see if we can resolve that problem. -

It was good to see Wake a have nice game getting to the QB. He should have a favorable matchup going against Andre Smith this week. I'm not predicting another 4.5/5 sack game, but 1.5 - 2.5 seems reasonable to me. I've got a feeling though that Andrew Whitworth will negate whoever is rushing opposite Wake.
Speaking of pass-rushing, this game will be a litmus test for Jonathan Martin. Carlos Dunlap is a damn good player, and from what I've seen from the Bengals they operate with a RDE and LDE pretty strictly, so Dunlap will most likely be on Martin's side all day. Time to bring your A Game Mr. Martin. -

He's an elite pass rusher. If he wants extra reps give them to him. Its on the coaches to get the other guys more reps not him.

Next part isnt at you Alen.
Also I think everyone needs to get off of Olivier Vernons back. He's a rookie who's been very stout against the run and needs to learn some pass rush moves to go with his athleticism. I had no idea his entire career was over four games into it.Bpk likes this. -

Vernon doesn't appear quick enough to ever be a successful 4-3 DE in this league. And he has yet to prove otherwise. Has he even hurried the QB yet? I haven't seen one flash from him to even consider the idea that this guy could be a good pass rusher -
I know some folks are not thrilled with Vernon, but I see a body lean and some explosion from his first step,
Right now, his problem is he has no "one" move that forces a Tackle to overplay that move, he has strong hands and a good first step but has not developed that speed/power/speed that a good passrusher has to summon at will, I think he will get there though. -
