Just saw it on ESPN, he'd be a good option in the late 2nd or 3rd round.

Fairly raw as he played 7-7 football in high school. Very productive WR in Hawaii's spread. Great speed and ok size. Probably will never be a go to WR, but the perfect slot WR in the pros. -

He could be a guy miami could pick up in the later rounds

Bess will likely will project as a slot receiver in the NFL. First of all, he's 5'10 195 lbs, so he's likely not going to be regarded as a #1 type option. I expect most teams to look at him as a slot guy. Also, there will be questions if he is just a product of Hawaii's pass-happy offense, or if he has real talent. As someone else pointed out, he had some problems and ended up in juvenile hall during high school, so that will likely drop his stock a bit. Can't deny that he has been tremendously productive in the Warrior's system - 41 TDs and 3500+ receiving yards in 3 years. It'll be interesting to see where he is at with his other measurables (40 time, etc.) at the draft combine, and also if he demonstrates the maturity needed to overcome any perceived character concerns.
-
I'll be curious to see what type of 40 time he has, the little I've seen from him he seemed to have very good hands though. As far as the character concerns I didn't know that he was in juvenile detention, although I know a lot of people like Colt Brennan and I guess you'd have the same concern with him. Has Bess been in any since he went to college?

On a side note I was reading about June Jones at work today and they said he actually recruits a lot of troubled kids and from what I heard he acts like a father to a lot of those guys. Another thing I came across and didn't know was that Brennan was actually at the U of Colorado when he was arrested, I find a lot of things out thanks to the people here at the finheaven boards :) -
You're correct, Brennan by no means is a perfect guy, and he had some major issues that led to his dismissal at Colorado. I won't go into details, but I'm sure you can find them if you're so inclined. -

How many slot receivers do the Phins need? Ginn, Lo Booker, ???
I'd really like a big physical Mike Irvin type WR. -
