Anyone else see this on the news? Seems like we are in talks with Denver to trade Ginn and an undisclosed pick for Marshall.
There's a link here to it on Twitter.

This would be crazy! Keep our first and get Marshall? Are you kidding me?
Edit: Joe Rose just reported it on the news too.
Edit: John Clayton just on ESPN says Marshall trade should happen in next 24 hours.

That's not exactly a sound source IMO.

I'm not sure Jim Berry really does anything other than repeat already broken news, so I'm fairly skeptical.

I'm just fanning the fire. [As a Dolphin fan I won't believe it until I see it, and I'm trying to not get my hopes up.]
However, the way things are all playing out is kind of exciting. If the Dolphins give up their 2nd round and a player or something, they could trade another player for a draft pick in the 3rd[or 2nd?] round. I feel like the only safe Dolphins are Ricky Williams, Jake Long, Karlos Dansby, Pennington, Henne, Sean Smith and VDavis. Everyone else seems to be on the chopping block. -
Here's Mort's tweet.
Could he have gotten heat for spilling the JT beans and deleted another? -
bundle ginn with a #2
i would start there
at least call -

This would be a good trade for us. It would be a great trade if we could guarantee that Marshall keeps his nose clean and becomes a team player but this is the kind of trade that it makes sense to deal Ginn. Upgrade your WR spot and cross your fingers that it doesnt blow up

RT @ShaneTeach: @mortreport Dolphins are Mammals... report the trade then go to sleep :) Your public commands you! >>> ha ha ha ha ha [for non twitter people, he "re-tweeted" what whoever that Shane person is wrote to him, and he wrote the ha ha's in response.]
He probably heard that it could possibly happen, so instead of giving false news he is just giving a little hint about the Dolphins. That way if nothing happens, then he didn't lie or anything. -
Armando has entered the discussion today (4/14/2010):

Oh if there is a god Brandon Marshall will be a Dolphin.

if we dont give up our first ill be very very happy..even if we do give up our first and thats it ill be happy

I just have a hard time believing that the Dolphins would trade for this guy.
He's got a rap sheet, he's got a solid history of beating women (think it was Outside the Lines that had that damning piece). He's couldn't co-exist with his coach to the point where he got benched the final game of the season. We saw him sulk and damn near quit on the field two years ago after Joey Porter psyched him out.
He's unstable IMO. People who knew him before the fame have told me he's changed (not for the better). -
It is actually very real.
Armando has it from a source that Seattle and Miami are going toe to toe for Marshall. -
I'm so torn on this. Marshall is so talented and would be a huge addition to our offense. All of a sudden you have Marshall, Hartline, Bess, Ronnie, Ricky, a great O-Line for Chad Henne and we are looking awesome on offense.
On the other hand, his off the field issues scare the poop out of me. It isn't just the law trouble either, it's mainly his attitude in the locker room. That stuff can do some serious damage.
However, I've always been one to give people second chances and maybe a change of scenery is just what he needs. I'm really starting to come around on this possibility. If it does happen we will be able to draft defense early and often and will be in terrific shape.Stitches likes this. -
You want a good "National" Miami source?
Alex Marvez. That is IT. -

I think alot of his problems stem from Darrent Williams death. He wanted to get out of Denver so he acted like a diva thinking he could get his way. He does have growing up to but he is one of the best Receivers in the league. If we got him for a 2nd and Ginn it would be CRIMINAL!

I know he's unproven at the pro level. Just talking about the human being. Bryant has never been in trouble. Never been arrested. He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke. He's not a bad guy. Just had some extremely tough circumstances growing up.
Marshall has shown that he can be a bad guy.
Bryant still has a chance. So does Marshall, but his track record isn't great. I really don't like the stuff about him beating up women.
I would really need to have some things put to rest before I could fully embrace this move.MrClean, siciliansith, GridIronKing34 and 1 other person like this. -

I'd be way happier with Bryant at 12, I just don't want to see Marshall get his contract and shut down, or get suspended or arrested. I also don't want Ginn to go :(
Ginn and a #2 would probably be a pretty good trade, though I'd still be kinda sad.MrClean likes this. -

Trade for Marshall and draft Earl Thomas. Fixes things real fast!

Dez Bryant is a lot closer to Ricky's personality, or type of "trouble-maker" if you will, than Marshall is. It just seems like Marshall is kind of a little ***** too me. Did he have character issues in high school or college? Never looked into it cause I never thought we'd actually make a play.
