Either Ryan or Mike Nolan would be upgrades as our D-Coordinator

 

just to make it clear, Ryan was only fired because the Ravens got rid of all Billick's assistants. His 46 defense is one of the best in the NFL and is actually creative

 

time to fire Capers and bring in Ryan...

 

Ryan is still being considered for the head coaching job in Baltimore.

 

Parcells is going to have some pretty good options for asst. coaches

 

Weird they said during the press conf. yesterday he was being considered for the HC position.

 

We pay Capers just as much as some HC in the NFL, if we offered that to Ryan he might take the DC job here instead.

I like Rex Ryan, good pedigree as the son of a former NFL head coach and his defenses are generally very good.

 

I see one huge problem with signing rex ryan....HE DOESNT RUN THE 3-4 which is the defense that parcells runs!!! It is his defense his signature and the way he built his teams. He has his formula and strictly follows it. That consists of running a 34 defense and having the personnel to run it. I dont think Parcells would change his defense to bring in a big name d coordinator. More likely he brings in a guy that is pretty unknown but talented as d coordinator.

How many big names do you want on this team? Some of you were calling for us to sign cowher or shotty after we got parcells. I dont think a team consisting of Rex Ryan, Marty Schottenheimer, Jeff Ireland, and Bill Parcells would work out. TOOOO many big names.

 

He was fired for calling the dumbest TIMEOUT in the history of NFL.

 

I wanted to laugh, but couldn't.. just think how he altered history with that call...

 

Valid point regarding the 3-4, although the Tuna is too smart not to consider all options.

 

Speaking of Dom Capers, isn't he also the assistant head coach? I wonder what Parcells will think about that?
