I guess Im confused by that...
Like..its an interesting piece...or...theres something down the road to deal with? -
Stop if you've heard this one before: football player is depressed, does self-destructive things, uses marijuana habitually, starts taking therapy, gets on anti-depressants, finds spirituality, is still kind of an a-hole but not the kind of a-hole that does self-destructive things every day.

He's probably my favorite player on the team. Its good to see him overcoming his issues.

Thanks for the link. You don't see stories like this often enough, where a reporter actually sits down and give a well thought out piece on a player. Too many times we rely on quick quips and rush to judgement based off incomplete data. This was a nice read.

Sounds like Ricky Williams to me.....but...unless Im missing something, which is entirely possible...sounded like Cogs is really trying to get his self together. Whatever that means about football is one thing..but Im glad for him as a person...

Excellent article, explains a lot. Makes me root a bit more for Richie, he plays his position well, still has the "nastiness" you want on the OL. But doesn't hurt the team with penalties. I would still rather see him at RG than LG, mostly to serve downfield blocking needs, but he sure solidifies the left side of our OL. And he is likely helping Martin improve at LT as well.
Thanks for finding and posting the article :up:Bpk likes this. -
Can somebody cut this piece of **** before he embarrasses us and gets the dolphins in trouble with the recording artists association?

Awesome piece. Happy someone CAME to Miami and changed their life for the better instead of the latter.

Still gutted Coggy did not give Swearinger a "Welcome To My World" badge. I thought he might have made him a new club member. He was too busy almost getting his un-protected head nearly took off by that Texan wimp. Like Ingognito alot. Bet Tannehill does too.

I am impressed with Richie being able to overcome and control his own personal demons. I was proud of the way he handled that situation against the Texans. It would have been so easy to have lost his temper and got caught up in the emotion of the moment. When you are an aggressive player lick Richie Incognito its hard to balance that aggression and emotion and he seems to be doing a pretty good job of it.

Great Piece.

Bravo Richie. There isn't an Oline coach in the NFL that would not love to have this kid, our kid, on their offensive line. It took a lot of balls for that interview. Jeff Darlington is among the best in the business. Again, More power to you Richie, wish we had 5 more like him.

SOOOOOOOOOO Now nfl network is doing a piece on Cogs? Am I the only one noticing this backfiring on the Texans/Smith?

If you really look at Antonio " Ninja " Smith, he has been one of the most flagged big mouth players since he was in the league. Big reason the Cardinals let him go ? His teammates could not take him anymore. Anyone tell me this, when an offensive lineman gets this far into a D linemans head, year after year after year, its a bad thing ? LOL no, Incognito got into Smiths head when he was with the Rams also. Love the kid, love the kid. Any human being that can admit, what he admitted and especially as much as he is in the public eye ? Yeah, he is THE MAN. People on this board that want him gone do not realize what we really have. Bad bay ? maybe, but he is our bad boy. Love the kid and he plays old style kick asss take no prisoner football and HE IS AN OFFENSIVE LIINEMAN. Guys like this do not come along too much lately.

Big Richie's down to 313lbs? Good for him. And great story.

I still say that was assault and Smith should've been brought up on charges. He catches Richie in the temple... we're talking possible brain damage.
I have no problem with taking his helmet off and attempting to knuckle up. That would also be an assault in our mundane lives and given a freak punch could also result in brain damage, but it can't translate to sports. Taking an object as formidable as a helmet and swing it at someone's head? Do not pass go, do not collect $200. -
